Oxidation of Hastelloy-XR Alloy for Corrosion-Resistant Glass-Coating

The oxidation behavior of Hastelloy-XR alloy was investigated to obtain the optimum surface condition for corrosion-resistant glass-coatings. The surface morphology of oxide scales changed significantly with variation of temperatureand oxygen partial pressure (po2 ). The oxidation kinetics was mainly parabolic independent of oxidation conditions.The oxide scales were consisted of inner Cr2O3 and outer spinel layers. The phase component of spinel layers wereMn1.5Cr1.5O4 and (Mn,Ni)(Cr,Fe)2O4 for the oxygen partial pressures po2<10 kPa and po2>10 kPa, respectively.The optimum oxidation condition to obtain an oxide scale for well-adhered glass-coating to the substrate was 1248 Kand po2 =0.01 kPa for the oxidation time of 43 ks.     

钢表面化学气相沉积TiC晶体的择优取向

本文用化学气相沉积(CVD)法,以TiCl_4-CH_4-H_2为原料气体,在不锈钢表面获得了致密的TiC膜.研究了TiC的成膜速度、表面形貌和晶体择优取向与沉积条什的关系.结果表明,沉积温度T_(dep),碳钛比CH_4/TiCl_4强烈地影响了TiC的成膜速度、表面形貌和晶体择优取向.CH_4/TiCl_4低时,TiC晶体的择优取向为(220):而CH_4/TiCl_4高时,TiC晶体的择优取向为(200).TiC晶体的择优取向主要取决于气氛中活性碳的平衡浓度。     

Textural Degradation of Cooked Fish Meat Gel (Kamaboko) by the Addition of an Edible Mushroom, Judas' Ear (Auricularia auriculajudae (Fr.) Quel)

Commercial makers of kamaboko, a traditional Japanese preparation of gelled cooked fish meat, have observed that when slivers of the edible Judas' ear mushroom (Auricularia auricula-judue (Fr.) Quel) are incorporated into the gel without being cooked first, the gel tends to have an unsatisfactory texture. Experiments with casein as substrate have already shown that this mushroom has a proteinase. We showed that the proteinase acted on fish myofibrillar proteins, including myosin, actin, and tropomyosin. In kamaboko containing Judas' ear mushroom uncooked, fish proteins were hydrolyzed and gel strength decreased. The results showed that the decrease in gel strength was caused by the hydrolysis of fish proteins by the proteinase.     

Antioxidant Activity of Fungus Suihs bovinus (L: Fr.) O. Kuntze

Two major antioxidative compounds were isolated from wild mushrooms, Suillus bovinus (L: Fr.) O. Kuntze, and studied for antioxidative activity by comparison with other antioxidants, BHA and tocopherol. One compound was an orange pigment identified as variegatic acid (3,3′,4,4′-tetrahydroxy puluvinic acid) and the other was an orange-red pigment, possibly diboviquinone-4,4. The variegatic acid had strong antioxidative activity in an emulsion system as shown by peroxide value (POV) of linoleic acid and in an oil system as shown by the POV of methyl linoleate and weight gain of soybean oil. The second compound was active only in the emulsion system.     

SOME METHODS FOR ANALYSIS OF SOLVENT EXTRACTION DATA AND THEIR APPLICATIONS

Abstract

Three programs develpoed to analyze data for liquid-liquid extraction of metal have been applied to the calculation of the stability constants of aqueous cadmium(II)-thiocyanato complexes by using the data for the extraction of tricaprylmethylammonium salt in benzene. The resulting stability constants of the aqueous thiocyanato complexes determined were: for the trial and error method log β₁ = 2·97, log β₂ = 3·70, log β₃ =3·50 and log β₄ =3·28; for the Gauss method log β₁ = 2·91, log β₂ = 3·70, log β₃ =3·35 and log β₄ = 3·29; for the Newton-Gauss method for log β₁ = 2·47, log β₂ =3·24, log β₃ =2·29 and log β₄ = 2·85     

加速器质谱测量129I方法的改进

在筑波大学的12UD串列加速器上开发了一套改进的129I加速器质谱(AMS)测量方法,包括在120°磁铁后安装了一副自行设计制作有静电偏转板,有效改善了对127I束流和129I计数的测量;采用97MoO2分子导航束稳定加速器端电压,加速器的端电压能稳定在几天内不超过0.1%,结合二次剥离,取得了满意的测量效果.用该方法测得AgI试剂样品的本底水平为7.83×10-13.对129I/127I比值范围为(4.92～0.28)×10-10的一系列样品的测量不确定度在7%以下,准确度较前有所提高.     

Difference of histology and elemental composition of the cervical enamels among human permanent teeth

The purpose of this study is to clarify the difference of histology and elemental composition of the cervical enamels among the human permanent teeth. The re-ground surfaces at the cervical enamels of them were observed under scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The contents of seven elements were analyzed quantitatively with electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA). The widths of the rod sections at the cervical enamels were larger than those at the cuspal enamels. The rod sections at the mesial cervical enamels in the incisors were more obscure and more decayed by acid solution than those in the premolars and molars. The calcium and phosphorus contents of the cervical enamels were significantly lower than those of the cuspal enamels. The carbon content of the cervical enamels was significantly higher than that of the cuspal enamels. The calcium and phosphorus contents of the cervical enamels were the significantly highest in the premolars. The carbon and sodium contents of the cervical enamels were significantly highest in the premolars. It is thought that the calcification level is lower, while the content of organic matter is higher at the cervical enamels than those at the cuspal enamels. It is considered that the sodium causes high calcification.
