With a huge amount of RDF data available on the web, the ability to find and access relevant information is crucial. Traditional approaches to storing, querying, and reasoning fall short when faced with web-scale data. We present a system that combines the computational power of large clusters for enabling large-scale reasoning and data access with an efficient data structure for storing and querying the accessed data on a traditional personal computer or other resource-constrained device. We present results of using this system to load the 2009 Billion Triples Challenge dataset, materialize RDFS inferences, extract an “interesting” subset of the data using a large cluster, and further analyze the extracted data using a personal computer, all in the order of tens of minutes.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel framework for a smart threat detection system that uses computer vision to capture, exploit and interpret the temporal flow of events related to the abandonment of an object. Our approach uses contextual information along with an analysis of the causal progression of events to decide whether or not an alarm should be raised. When an unattended object is detected, the system traces it back in time to determine and record who its most likely owner(s) may be. Through subsequent frames, the system searches the scene for the owner and issues an alert if no match is found for the owner over a given period of time. Our algorithm has been successfully tested on two benchmark datasets (PETS 2006 Benchmark Data, 2006; i-LIDS Dataset for AVSS, 2007), and yielded results that are substantially more accurate than similar systems developed by other academic and industrial research groups.  相似文献

Radiolytic reduction of silver and gold ions and subsequent formation of their aggregates have been studied in propan-2-ol:cyclohexane mixture using pulse radiolysis technique. The silver sol, produced on irradiation of Ag+ solution with a train of electron pulses, has been characterized using XRD and TEM. The size of the particles has been found to be in the range of 30-50 nm. The silver sol emit light with a maximum at 340 nm on irradiation with a high energy electron beam. The intensity of emission has been found to decrease with decrease in concentration of Ag particles. Formation of colloidal gold has also been observed on irradiation of NaAuCl4 solution in propan-2-ol:cyclohexane by train of electron pulses. The particles so formed are oxidized on exposure to air. No light emission has been observed from Au sol.  相似文献

This paper presents a new framework for the modeling of coal‐fired boiler furnaces. The input required for the model is the ultimate analysis of a coal sample. The model accounts for devolatilization followed by gas‐phase combustion. The devolatilization model used in this work is taken from published literature with slight modifications to match the numerical predictions with experimental measurements. This work also develops a reactor network model for simulating the performance of boiler furnaces. For the seamless integration of kinetic models of coal devolatilization and combustion with furnace numerical model, the thermochemistry data of several hypothetical and intermediate species involved in devolatilization chemistry are evaluated in the form of 14 coefficient National Aeronautics and Space Administration polynomials. The capability of the model for predicting the furnace temperature and product composition is demonstrated by simulating a single‐zone model. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Novel electro‐responsive nanocomposite hydrogels were prepared by the radical graft polymerization reaction of partially neutralized acrylic acid on poly(vinyl alcohol) and organically modified MMT nanoclay (OMMT) using glutaraldehyde as a crosslinker and potassium initiator. The structures of the hydrogels were confirmed by using Fourier transform infrared, X‐ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy study. The nanocomposite hydrogels were characterized by evaluating such molecular weight between crosslinks, (Mc) crosslinking density (ρ), and mesh size (ξ). The effects of various parameters on the swelling behavior of the hydrogels were studied. The thermogravimetric analysis indicated that introduction of clay resulted in an increase in thermal stability. Finally, the electric stimuli responsive measurement indicates the bending of hydrogel toward the cathode in an aqueous solution of NaCl. POLYM. Due to Fermi level pinning (FLP), metal-semiconductor contact interfaces result in a Schottky barrier height (SBH), which is usually difficult to tune. This makes it challenging to efficiently inject both electrons and holes using the same metal—an essential requirement for several applications, including light-emitting devices and complementary logic. Interestingly, modulating the SBH in the Schottky–Mott limit of de-pinned van der Waals (vdW) contacts becomes possible. However, accurate extraction of the SBH is essential to exploit such contacts to their full potential. In this study a simple technique is proposed to accurately estimate the SBH at the vdW contact interfaces by circumventing several ambiguities associated with SBH extraction. Using this technique on several vdW contacts, including metallic 2H-TaSe2, semi-metallic graphene, and degenerately doped semiconducting SnSe2, it is demonstrated that vdW contacts exhibit a universal de-pinned nature. Superior ambipolar carrier injection properties of vdW contacts are demonstrated (with Au contact as a reference) in two applications, namely, a) pulsed electroluminescence from monolayer WS2 using few-layer graphene (FLG) contact, and b) efficient carrier injection to WS2 and WSe2 channels in both n-type and p-type field effect transistor modes using 2H-TaSe2 contact.  相似文献

In distributed systems, tuple space is one of the coordination models that significantly maximizes system performance against failure due to its space and time decoupling features. With the growing popularity of distributed computing and increasing complexity in the network, host and link failure occurs frequently, resulting in poor system performance. This article proposes a fault-tolerant model named Tuple Space Replication (TSR) for tuple space coordination in distributed environments. The model introduces a multi-agent system that consists of multiple hosts. Each host in a multi-agent system comprises an agent space with a tuple space for coordination. In this model, we introduce three novel fault-tolerant algorithms for tuple space primitives to provide coordination among hosts with tolerance to multiple links and hosts failure. The first algorithm is given for out() operation to insert tuples in the tuple space. The second algorithm is presented for rdp() operation to read any tuple from the tuple space. The third algorithm is given for inp() operation to delete or withdraw tuples from the tuple space. These algorithms use less number of messages to ensure consistency in the system. The message complexity of the proposed algorithms is analyzed and found O(n) for out(), O(1) for rdp(), and O(n) for inp() operations which is comparable and better than existing works, where n is the number of hosts. The testbed experiment reveals that the proposed TSR model gives performance improvement up to 88%, 70.94%, and 63.80% for out(), rdp(), and inp() operations compared to existing models such as FT-SHE, LBTS, DEPSPACE, and E-DEPSPACE.  相似文献
