Ferrites are materials of interest due to their broad applications in high technological devices and a lot of research has been focused to synthesize new ferrites. In this regard, an effort has been devoted to synthesize spinel Pr–Ni co-substituted strontium ferrites with a nominal formula of Sr1-xPrxFe2-yNiyO4 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1, 0.0 ≤ y ≤ 1.0). The cubic structure of pure and Pr–Ni co-substituted strontium ferrite samples calcinated at 1073 K for 3 h has been confirmed through X-ray diffraction (XRD). Average sizes of crystallites (18–25 nm) have been estimated from XRD analysis and nanometer particle sizes of synthesized ferrites have been further verified by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM results have also shown that particles are mostly agglomerated and all the samples possess porosity. It has been observed that at 298 K, the values of resistivity (ρ) increase, while that of AC conductivity, dielectric loss, and dielectric constants decrease with increasing amounts of Pr3+ and Ni2+ ions. The values of dielectric parameters initially decrease with frequency and later become constant and can be explained on the basis of dielectric polarization. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) studies show that the charge transport phenomenon in ferrite materials is mainly controlled via grain boundaries. Overall, synthesized ferrite materials own enhanced resistivity values in the range of 1.38 × 109–1.94 × 109 Ω cm and minimum dielectric losses, which makes them suitable candidates for high frequency devices applications.  相似文献

A dedicated specimen holder has been designed to perform low-voltage scanning transmission electron microscopy in dark field mode. Different test samples, namely InGaAs/GaAs quantum wells, InGaAs nanowires and thick InGaAs layers, have been analysed to test the reliability of the model based on the proportionality to the specimen mass-thickness, generally used for image intensity interpretation of scattering contrast processes. We found that size of the probe, absorption and channelling must be taken into account to give a quantitative interpretation of image intensity. We develop a simple procedure to evaluate the probe-size effect and to obtain a quantitative indication of the absorption coefficient. Possible artefacts induced by channelling are pointed out. With the developed procedure, the low voltage approach can be successfully applied for quantitative compositional analysis. The method is then applied to the estimation of the In content in the core of InGaAs/GaAs core-shell nanowires.  相似文献

A growing trend within nanomedicine has been the fabrication of self‐delivering supramolecular nanomedicines containing a high and fixed drug content ensuring eco‐friendly conditions. This study reports on green synthesis of silica nanoparticles (Si‐NPs) using Azadirachta indica leaves extract as an effective chelating agent. X‐ray diffraction analysis and Fourier transform‐infra‐red spectroscopic examination were studied. Scanning electron microscopy analysis revealed that the average size of particles formed via plant extract as reducing agent without any surfactant is in the range of 100–170 nm while addition of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide were more uniform with 200 nm in size. Streptomycin as model drug was successfully loaded to green synthesised Si‐NPs, sustain release of the drug from this conjugate unit were examined. To grapple with multidrug resistant bacterial infections, implementations of antibacterial nanomedicines have gained prime attention of the researchers across the globe. Nowadays, zinc oxide (ZnO) at nano‐scale has emerged as a promising antibacterial therapeutic agent. Keeping this in view, ZnO nanostructures (ZnO‐NS) have been synthesised through reduction by P. aphylla aqueous extract without the utilisation of any acid or base. Structural examinations via scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X‐ray diffraction have revealed pure phase morphology with highly homogenised average particle size of 18 nm. SEM findings were further supplemented by transmission electron microscopy examinations. The characteristic Zn–O peak has been observed around 363 nm using ultra‐violet–visible spectroscopy. Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy examination has also confirmed the formation of ZnO‐NS through detection of Zn–O bond vibration frequencies. To check the superior antibacterial activity of ZnO‐NS, the authors'' team has performed disc diffusion assay and colony forming unit testing against multidrug resistant E. coli, S. marcescens and E. cloacae. The resorcinol/formaldehyde gels containing 5% (w/v) of reactants have been prepared. After curing for seven days, the gel is treated with trifluoroacetic acid to initiate the condensation of hydroxymethyl groups. Drying of the prepared gels is done by removing water with the help of vacuum heterogeneous azeotropic distillation using amyl acetate and n-butanol. The textural properties of the gels thus obtained are compared with the properties of the gel obtained from exchange of water by acetone (control experiment). The pore volume and average pore diameter of the gel obtained from the azeotropic distillation of water with amyl acetate are 0.7663 × 10–3 m3/kg and 0.0145 m, respectively. These values are 1.5 times higher than the values obtained by vacuum heterogeneous azeotropic distillation with n-butanol and about twice than the values obtained in the control experiment. The surface areas in all the three gels are almost constant.  相似文献

Quantum ternary logic is a promising emerging technology for the future quantum computing. Ternary reversible logic circuit design has potential advantages over the binary ones like its logarithmic reduction in the number of qudits. In reversible logic all computations are done in an invertible fashion. In this paper, we propose a new quantum reversible ternary half adder with quantum cost of only 7 and a new quantum ternary full adder with a quantum cost of only 14. We termed it QTFA. Then we propose 3-qutrit parallel adders. Two different structures are suggested: with and without input carry. Next, we propose quantum ternary coded decimal (TCD) detector circuits. Two different approaches are investigated: based on invalid numbers and based on valid numbers. Finally, we propose the quantum realization of TCD adder circuits. Also here, two approaches are discussed. Overall, the proposed reversible ternary full adder is the best between its counterparts comparing the figures of merits. The proposed 3-qutrit parallel adders are compared with the existing designs and the improvements are reported. On the other hand, this paper suggested the quantum reversible TCD adder designs for the first time. All the proposed designs are realized using macro-level ternary Toffoli gates which are built on the top of the ion-trap realizable ternary 1-qutrit gates and 2-qutrit Muthukrishnan–Stroud gates.  相似文献

Signal processing can be performed in time domain as well as intransform domain. Frequency domain is perhaps the most widely used domain for transform domain signal processing. In this paper we analyze sequency domain (SD) signal processing as an alternate to the conventional frequency domain signal processing. We perform signal processing in sequency domain using conjugate-symmetric sequency-ordered complex Hadamard transform and compare the results with those of discrete Fourier transform. We observe that in comparison with frequency spectrum, spectral energy of sequency spectrum is spread over the entire spectrum. We performed signal and image denoising in SD and found that our designed SD filters effectively denoise the signals.  相似文献
