When developing a complex, multi‐authored code, daily testing on multiple platforms and under a variety of conditions is essential. It is therefore necessary to have a regression test suite that is easily administered and configured, as well as a way to easily view and interpret the test suite results. We describe the methodology for verification of FLASH, a highly capable multiphysics scientific application code with a wide user base. The methodology uses a combination of unit and regression tests and an in‐house testing software that is optimized for operation under limited resources. Although our practical implementations do not always comply with theoretical regression‐testing research, our methodology provides a comprehensive verification of a large scientific code under resource constraints.Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

In this article, a fast context-sensitive threshold selection technique is presented to solve the image segmentation problems. In lieu of histogram, the proposed technique employs recently defined energy curve of the image. First, the initial thresholds are selected in the middle of two consecutive peaks on the energy curve. Then based on the cluster validity measure, the optimal number of potential thresholds and the bounds where the optimal value of each potential threshold may exist are determined. Finally, genetic algorithm (GA) is employed to detect the optimal value of each potential threshold from their respective defined bounds. The proposed technique incorporates spatial contextual information of the image in threshold selection process without loosing the benefits of histogram-based techniques. Computationally it is very efficient. Moreover, it is able to determine the optimal number of segments in the input image. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed technique, the results obtained are compared with four state-of-the-art methods cited in the literature. Dehydrogenation of cyclohexane to benzene has been carried out over Ag supported on activated carbon cloth (Ag/ACC) catalysts using a spray- pulse reactor. Hydrogen evolution was studied for hydrogen storage and supply system applications. The maximum rate of hydrogen evolution rate using monometallic Ag/ACC catalysts was 6.9 mmol/gmet/min for Ag loading of 10 wt%. An enhanced hydrogen evolution was observed by adding a small amount of noble metal (1 wt% Pt, Pd, Rh) to the Ag based catalysts. A synergistic effect was observed in the case of the Pt promoted catalysts on the hydrogen production were twice as compared to 10 wt% Ag catalyst only. 相似文献

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of microbial transglutaminase (MTG)‐mediated modification on the structure, digestibility and immunoreactivities of glycinin. Glycinin was separated from soya bean and cross‐linked with MTG, and the sulphate‐polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS‐PAGE) showed that the molecular weight of cross‐linked glycinin was higher than that of native glycinin. Individual MTG cross‐linking could maintain stable secondary structures and spatial structure. Sequential heat denaturation and MTG cross‐linking could promote the unfolding of protein structures and reduce their hydrophobicity. The digestibility of glycinin was decreased, and its immunoreactivities were increased because of MTG‐induced structural alteration, including primary and spatial structures. 相似文献

The influence of a thin polycarbonate de-adhesion layer on the hydrogen concentration is studied on 30 nm vanadium films deposited on glass substrates, using electrochemical hydrogenography in an optical microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy. It is shown that the optical reflection provides information about the de-adhesion morphology (buckles) while the optical transmission signal gives information about concentration and film thickness changes. Artificially patterned samples allow simultaneous studying adhered and de-adhered film parts, for similar mean concentrations. The optical data clearly show a different hydrogen behavior of the two parts. Data interpretation suggests higher local hydrogen content in the adhered film parts than for the detached films parts. Strong changes in the optical transmission of the adhered film parts can be attributed to strong morphological changes at the film surface. These changes are mainly attributed to grain sliding processes in the vanadium film. 相似文献

In this paper, spectrographic analysis of the infant cries is reported. For the spectrographic analysis of the infant cries ten different cry modes are used to analyze differences in different pathological cries. A comparison of spectrograms of the adult speech signal and infant cry signals is given. Based on differences in the distribution of energy in the spectrograms, energy-based features are calculated from the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) of the adult speech and infant cry signals. The classification performance of these features is obtained using support vector machine (SVM) classifier and it is observed that the energy distribution in 0–1 kHz range is promising feature in the classification of adult speech and infant cries and the classification accuracy achieved with this feature is 98.22 %. On the contrary, it was observed that it is very difficult to classify adult speech and infant cries using the energy distribution in 1–3 kHz. 相似文献

Carrying hydrogen in chemically bounded form as cycloalkanes and recovery of hydrogen via a subsequent dehydrogenation reaction is a potential option for hydrogen transport and delivery. We have earlier reported a novel method for transportation and delivery of hydrogen through liquid organic hydrides (LOH) such as cycloalkanes. The candidate cycloalkanes including cyclohexane, methylcyclohexane, decalin etc. contains 6 to 8 wt% hydrogen with volume basis capacity of hydrogen storage of 60–62 kg/m3. In view of several advantages of the system such as transportation by present infrastructure of lorries, no specific temperature pressure requirement and recyclable reactants/products, the LOH definitely pose for a potential technology for hydrogen delivery. A considerable development is reported in this field regarding various aspects of the catalytic dehydrogenation of the cycloalkanes for activity, selectivity and stability. We have earlier reported an account of development in chemical hydrides. This article reports a state-of-art in LOH as hydrogen carrier related to dehydrogenation catalysts, supports, reactors, kinetics, thermodynamic aspects, potential demand of technology in field, patent literature etc. 相似文献

ABSTRACTWarranty data can be used for estimating product reliability, identifying causes of failure and designing warranty policy. Based on two-dimensional warranty data, we utilize an accelerated failure time model to investigate the effect of usage rate on product degradation. The stochastic expectation-maximization algorithm is proposed to estimate parameters of the reliability model considering both censored data and field data. Extensive simulation studies are used to validate the proposed method and to compare it with the maximum likelihood method. The utilities of the results have been demonstrated through real warranty data collected from an automobile manufacturer in China. 相似文献

Peanut allergen Ara h 6 was isolated and irradiated at 1, 3, 5, or 10 kGy, and a whole peanut protein extract (WPPE) was also treated by irradiation. Alteration in structure of Ara h 6 was characterised by circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy, ultraviolet (UV) absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy and SDS–PAGE, and antigenicity was evaluated by immunoblotting and indirect ELISA with anti-Ara h 6 polyclonal antibody. Irradiation induced significant changes in the secondary and tertiary structures of Ara h 6, and the antigenicity of both purified Ara h 6 and WPPE were reduced upon increasing the irradiation doses. Moreover, a good correlation between the loss in α-helix and IgG binding to Ara h 6 was observed. This indicated that irradiation might be an efficient approach to reduce or eliminate peanut allergenicity. 相似文献
