The total selenium within a wide variety (315 food items) of Greek foods was determined fluorimetrically. Rich selenium sources were the proteinaceous foods such as fish, meat, bread, and spaghetti. Butter, oils, vegetables, and fruits were poor sources. The selenium content of Greek foods was lower than that of many other countries and resembled more closely that of British foods. From available food consumption data and values in this study, it was estimated that the daily selenium intake of Greeks was 110 μg. 相似文献

The first time independent, parallel processes consisting of two alternating renewal functions, say function zero and one, will be in phase zero together under equilibrium and non-equilibrium starting conditions is found. With function one an exponential distribution and function zero a non-lattice type, the distribution of the aforementioned time is found by taking advantage of a point of renewal. Further results are derived when both functions are exponential with the same parameter value by likening the situation to an Ehrenfest model The results are applicable to many situations. The degradation of aspartame in solution as a function of temperature (70–100°C), buffer concentration (0.01–0.1M phosphate), and pH (6–7) was studied in order to estimate losses during thermal processing and storage of aseptic milk-based drinks. Prior data have been mostly on acid carbonated beverages. First order rate constants were obtained in all the conditions with activation energies in the range 14–20 kcal/ mole. An increase in both pH and buffer concentration caused an increase in rate of loss. These data were used to predict losses that would occur during pasteurization and sterilization conditions. Experiments at 4 and 30°C showed significant losses would occur during 4 and 30°C temperature storage and extrapolation from high temperatures predicted faster degradation rates than those found. 相似文献

The application of the linear-quadratic-gaussian (LQG) tracking problem to production planning and control systems is discussed. Decision concepts are developed from an examination of the structure of a generalized production control system. The decision problem is modelled as a LQG tracking problem operating in the presence of persistent disturbances—the disturbances representing the demand for finished goods. The development of a solution leads to a linear, time-invariant decision policy which is a decomposition of the decision input into separate and nearly independent decision tasks. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution are presented. An open-loop, closed-loop decision system is presented to show how the decision model can be used to analyse relationships among system structure, performance, and information requirements. 相似文献

The effect of three commercial milk protein products on aspartame degradation was studied as a function of temperature (4, 30, 70, 80°C), pH (6 and 7), phosphate buffer concentration (0.01 M/L, 0.1 M/L) and protein (0–3%). Caseinates significantly decreased the pseudo-first order loss rate at low buffer concentration and higher temperature (70–80°C), whereas the rate was faster in the presence of a casein/ whey mixture. At high buffer concentration, the loss rate was not affected by protein. The protective effect may have been due to either a buffering capacity decrease caused by a protein/aspartame interaction that lowered pH or some unknown protein interaction. Crystal structure and defects of ordered ((Pb1- x Ca x )TiO3 ceramics have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The structure is determined to be tetragonal, belonging to point group 4 mm . Pb and Ca are in an ordered fcc arrangement on the A sites. In addition to the chemical ordering, there is ordering due to atomic shuffling or what has been referred to as electrical ordering. Two distinct sets of planar defects are observed in the same region. One set of planar defects are identified as antiphase boundaries that are the results of chemical ordering and the other set are displacement boundaries that are the results of electrical ordering. 相似文献

USED THE ASSUMPTION THAT PERSONAL FUTURE TIME PERSPECTIVE (FTP) IS RELATED TO THE OUTCOME OF THE SOCIALIZATION PROCESS TO TEST THE HYPOTHESIS THAT NONDELINQUENT (ND) AND DELINQUENT (D) BOYS WOULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT IN THE EXTENT OF FTP. 100 NDS AND 100 DS MATCHED FOR AGE, SOCIAL STATUS, RACE, AND INTELLIGENCE WERE ADMINISTERED THE FUTURE EVENTS TEST. THE NDS ACHIEVED A SIGNIFICANTLY GREATER EXTENT OF FTP THAN THE DS. RESULTS WERE REPLICATED ON A RANDOM SAMPLE OF 100 NDS AND 100 DS. THE RESULTS WERE ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THOSE FOUND IN THE MATCHED GROUPS. AN ANALYSIS OF THE 36 TEST ITEMS REVEALED THOSE ITEMS WITH (1) DIFFERENTIAL ENDORSEMENT BETWEEN ND AND D SAMPLES, (2) SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT MEAN FUTURE AGE SCORES BETWEEN GROUPS, AND (3) DIFFERENTIAL VARIABILITY BETWEEN THE NDS AND DS.
