Human physiology normally contains pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms in the gastrointestinal flora. Disturbance of these microorganism balance results in the formation of infection. Extensive use of antibiotics for cure of these disturbances like Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection leads to patient discomfort and associated side-effects. There is a need to adopt adjunct or alternative approach in order to minimize such conditions. Probiotics is one of the potential therapies to cure gastrointestinal discomforts especially associated with H. pylori. It competes through non-immune and immune systems. This review article concludes that probiotics are used to eradicate the infection at increased rate, and decreased associated side-effects are caused by triple therapy. A proper evaluation of these probiotics is demanded before their use in future as a commercial product. Furthermore, their effect on immune system requires more research work so that their usage for other chronic disorders can also be considered.  相似文献

A high performance liquid chr0matOgraphiC method is presented for the simultaneous determination of hydralazine hydrochloride and hydrochlorothiazide in combination dosage forms. ccmpounds are chromatographed on a radialpak cyanopropylsilane cartridge with a mixture of methanol, water and dibutylamine phosphate as mobile phase and W detection at 254 run. hydralazine hydrochloride and hydrochlorothiazide showed linear detector responses over a range of 50-150% of label claim with correlation coefficients of 0.999. Assay recoveries (n = 5) were found to contain an average of 98.9% hydrochloride and 98'.8% 2 1.1 of hydrochlorothiazide. proposed method showed excellent resolution and reproducibility. It will be helpful in routine quality control analysis of such combination dosage forms.  相似文献

风力发电叶片翼型型线理论及应用

经研究发现,在流动空气与风电叶片相互作用规律的过程中,真空中自由下落的空气团的形态与前后压差作用下流动的空气(风)非常相似;因此,本文提出以重量比拟压差设计风电叶片翼型型线的理论,即:空气团流过风电叶片翼型线的时间最短及应有尽可能多的空气团作用于该翼型线;以此为基础,本文推导出风电叶片翼型型线方程并进行了应用研究;通过从现有翼型库中选取三种相似翼型进行模拟对比,结果表明用本文建立的风电叶片翼型线方程设计的翼型线翼型(“SJX翼型”)在攻角变化时的升力及升力系数较所选取的三种翼型有较大的提升,翼型生阻比亦有小幅提升,且流动空气作用在气动中心的力矩均较大,验证了论文建立的风电叶片翼型线方程设计翼型型线的可行性和有效性,从而为风电叶片翼型型线设计理论的发展提供了新尝试和有益借鉴。

A review of the stabilization of tropical lowland peats   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The Deep Mixing Method, which involves the formation of in situ stabilized peat columns, is suitable for deep peat stabilization, whereas the mass stabilization technique is used to stabilize the soil of shallow peat deposits instead of the costly and problematic removal and replacement method. The concept of soil-cement stabilization involves the addition of water to cement, resulting in a chemical process known as cement hydration. Stabilization of peat by cement, which requires a significant strength increase in the cement-stabilized peat or organic soil, is attributed largely to physicochemical reactions that include cement hydration, hardening of the resulting cement paste and interactions between soil substances and primary and secondary cementation hydration products. The factors that affect these physicochemical reactions and the interactions of peat soil-cementation products that influence peat stabilization are the amount of solid particles, the water: soil ratio, the quantity of binder, the presence of humic and/or fulvic acids, the soil pH and the amount of organic matter in the peat. With the Air Curing Technique, stabilized peat samples for unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests were kept at a normal air temperature of 30 ± 2 °C and strengthened by gradual moisture content reduction instead of the usual water-curing technique or water submersion methods that have been common practice in past experiments involving the stabilization of peat with cement. The principle of using the Air Curing Technique to strengthen stabilized peat is that peat soil at its natural moisture content contains sufficient water (water content from 198 to 417 %) that, when mixed with cement, a curing process takes place that causes the stabilized peat soil to gradually lose its moisture content and to become drier and harder throughout the curing period. This process does not require the addition of water.  相似文献

Perovskite‐based organic–inorganic hybrids hold great potential as active layers in electronics or optoelectronics or as components of biosensors. However, many of these applications require thin films grown with good control over structure and thickness—a major challenge that needs to be addressed. The work presented here is an effort towards this goal and concerns the layer‐by‐layer deposition at ambient conditions of ferromagnetic organic–inorganic hybrids consisting of alternating CuCl4‐octahedra and organic layers. The Langmuir‐Blodgett technique used to assemble these structures provides intrinsic control over the molecular organization and film thickness down to the molecular level. Magnetic characterization reveals that the coercive field for these thin films is larger than that for solution‐grown layered bulk crystals. The strategy presented here suggests a promising cost effective route to facilitate the excellently controlled growth of sophisticated materials on a wide variety of substrates that have properties relevant for the high density storage media and spintronic devices.  相似文献

Reinforcement of PEEK by nanoparticles such as multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), is a promising technique to prepare PEEK nanocomposites with improved properties for promising biomedical applications. However, proper dispersion of MWCNTs in the polymer matrices is a primary processing challenge. The present study reports a novel and environmentally beneficial approach for homogeneous dispersion of MWCNT in PEEK by using ionic liquid (IL) 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate ([EMIM][HSO4]). Neat PEEK, PEEK-MWCNTs (using conventional organic solvent dimethylformamide), and PEEK-MWCNTs-IL (using [EMIM][HSO4]) nanocomposites were fabricated via melt-compounding and compression molding techniques. The fabricated composites were characterized for morphological, thermal, and mechanical properties and compared to those of neat PEEK and PEEK-MWCNTs. Ionic liquid provoked proficient dispersion of the MWCNTs in PEEK, as confirmed by FESEM and optical micrographs. The thermal stability of PEEK-MWCNTs-IL composite was significantly superior to that of the neat PEEK and PEEK-MWCNTs. Analysis of tensile strength and nanoindentation depicted that the modulus of elasticity of PEEK-MWNCTs-IL was significantly increased by 76% as compared to that of neat PEEK. We believe that the present work could provide a new and green platform for the manufacturing of PEEK nanocomposites with enhanced dispersion of nanofillers for biomedical applications.  相似文献

In this work, a fast approach for the fabrication of hundreds of ultraclean field‐effect transistors (FETs) is introduced, using single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). The synthesis of the nanomaterial is performed by floating‐catalyst chemical vapor deposition, which is employed to fabricate high‐performance thin‐film transistors. Combined with palladium metal bottom contacts, the transport properties of individual SWCNTs are directly unveiled. The resulting SWCNT‐based FETs exhibit a mean field‐effect mobility, which is 3.3 times higher than that of high‐quality solution‐processed CNTs. This demonstrates that the hereby used SWCNTs are superior to comparable materials in terms of their transport properties. In particular, the on–off current ratios reach over 30 million. Thus, this method enables a fast, detailed, and reliable characterization of intrinsic properties of nanomaterials. The obtained ultraclean SWCNT‐based FETs shed light on further study of contamination‐free SWCNTs on various metal contacts and substrates.  相似文献

In this paper, the effect of antifoam agents on bubble characteristics in bubble columns is studied. Specifically, the bubble characteristics of air in tap water are compared to those of air in 5% and 10% antifoam solutions. Bubble characteristics such as gas holdup, bubble diameter, bubble-size distribution, and damping ratio were investigated at various superficial gas velocities. These properties were deduced from the acoustic sound measurement. The study revealed that the addition of antifoam chemicals reduces the overall gas holdup and increases the average bubble diameter. The bubble-size distribution in tap water is found to be homogeneous while in antifoam solutions to be heterogeneous. It is also found that at low gas velocities the damping ratio for antifoam solutions is higher than that for tap water, while at high gas velocities the damping ratio is not affected. The results affirm that acoustic probes are excellent measuring tools over classical tools at moderate gas velocities.  相似文献

Carbon fibre–phenolic matrix (CF–P) composites containing graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) were manufactured for improved mechanical and thermal properties. For comparison, micrometer-size pyrolytic graphite powder (GP) was also incorporated in CF–P composites. The loading of carbon fibres was kept constant at 60?wt-% while the quantity of GNPs was varied from 0.1?wt-% to 0.3?wt-% and GP from 1.0?wt-% to 3.0?wt-%. Only GNPs were functionalised by ultraviolet-ozone treatment to improve their dispersion in the matrix while all the composites were manufactured by hand layup method and characterised by scanning electron microscopy, impact, flexural, thermogravimetry and ablation tests. The composite containing 0.3?wt-% GNPs showed considerable improvement in ablation, flexural and impact testing as compared to CF-P composites containing GP. Finally, the ablation mechanisms of post-ablated composites were discussed in the light of available data in the literature.  相似文献
