The solution of the inverse problem of gravitational potential using a set of measurements of different field elements

A numerical solution of the inverse problem of the gravitational field at a single point is obtained using six field elements for a point, a spherical cap, a differential spherical sector and a vertical segment. In the system of six equations obtained, the unknowns are the mass of the body, the depth of its center, and the second, third, and fourth degree moments. Coalition-hierarchical game under uncertainty conditions

An optimization problem in a coalition-hierarchical game under uncertainty conditions is formulated. In the game, information assumptions are that the player of the high hierarchical level (controlling Center) and each low-level coalition estimates uncertainty in its own way. The Center constructs its strategy from the maximum condition for its own payoff function and its minimum in uncertainty. The relationships between coalitions are built upon the guaranteeing absolute active equilibrium understood in the sense of providing the players with guaranteed payoff under the actual uncertainty. The guaranteed uncertainty is obtained with the help of Slater principle. The total equilibrium in the game is called CH-equilibrium. For a quadratic game version, sufficient optimality conditions are obtained. A numerical procedure for solving the game is described and an example is given.     

Coordination of the Batch Distribution at the Blast-Furnace Mouth and the Gas-Flux Distribution in the Hearth

Coordinated parameter selection of the batch charged at the top of the blast furnace and the blast injected in the hearth is evaluated as a means of improving furnace performance.     

Investigation of the optical characteristics of laser plasma by photochronography methods

The results of photochronographic studies of spatiotemporal and spectral characteristics of laser plasma in the optical region, which were obtained at the Iskra-5 facility in different experiments, are presented. The plasma diagnostics was performed using a slit photochronographic streak camera, which is based on a PIM-112 streak tube with microsecond sweep durations.     

Changes in granulometric composition of blast-furnace coke

The basic requirements on the granulometric composition of blast-furnace coke are considered. The change in granulometric composition over time is considered for the example of Krivoi Rog coke plant (now the coke-production facility at PAT ArcelorMittal Krivoi Rog). Recently, the size classes in the gross coke produced have been redistributed, with increase in the content of the >80 mm, <25 mm, and 80–60 mm classes; coke quality (in terms of the strength M ₂₅ and ease of wear M ₁₀) has also declined. To obtain more uniform granulometric composition, consistent mechanical treatment of the coke is required.     

A technique for studying the spectral composition and duration of radiation accompanying a shock wave at the rear surface of materials under direct laser irradiation

A photochronographic technique for studying the spectral composition and duration of radiation that accompanies the appearance of a shock wave on the rear surface of a loaded target has been developed. The spectral resolution of this technique was evaluated. A method of the through calibration of the recording channel using radiation of a source with the known spectrum was proposed. The results of the performed calibration are used to restore the spectral distribution on the basis of the obtained spectrochronograms.
