Critical current measurements for three polycrystalline rings of YBCO, three Bi-2223, and one YBCO + Ag were developed from a temperature close to 80 K to the critical temperature using a previously reported contactless inductive device based on the transformer method. These data were used to analyze the ability of this device to characterize, in superconducting rings, the Ginzburg-Landau, Ambegaokar-Baratoff, and De Gennes regimes as well as the crossover temperature between them.  相似文献

An unpackaged microchip is used as the sensing element in a miniaturized gaseous proportional chamber. This letter reports on the fabrication and performance of a complete radiation imaging detector based on this principle. Our fabrication schemes are based on wafer-scale and chip-scale postprocessing. Compared to hybrid-assembled gaseous detectors, our microsystem shows superior alignment precision and energy resolution, and offers the capability to unambiguously reconstruct 3D radiation tracks on the spot.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to determine fibronectin levels in umbilical cord blood of infants of diabetic mothers (IDM) and evaluate a possible correlation with perinatal pathology. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A prospective study of 58 IDM (33 males and 25 females) and 58 control newborns (NB) (33 males and 25 females) was carried out. RESULTS: There were no differences in fibronectin levels between the two groups nor between the sexes. Perinatal morbidity was higher in the IDM group, but there was no correlation between fibronectin levels and the presence of perinatal pathology. CONCLUSIONS: Fibronectin levels are not useful in the perinatal evaluation of infants of diabetic mothers.  相似文献

For a long time, the design of relational databases has focused on the optimization of atomic transactions (insert, select, update or delete). Currently, relational databases store tactical information of data warehouses, mainly for select‐like operations. However, the database paradigm has evolved, and nowadays on‐line analytical processing (OLAP) systems handle strategic information for further analysis. These systems enable fast, interactive and consistent information analysis of data warehouses, including shared calculations and allocations. OLAP and data warehouses jointly allow multidimensional data views, turning raw data into knowledge. OLAP allows ‘slice and dice’ navigation and a top‐down perspective of data hierarchies. In this paper, we describe our experience in the migration from a large relational database management system to an OLAP system on top of a relational layer (the data warehouse), and the resulting contributions in open‐source ROLAP optimization. Existing open‐source ROLAP technologies rely on summarized tables with materialized aggregate views to improve system performance (in terms of response time). The design and maintenance of those tables are cumbersome. Instead, we intensively exploit cache memory, where key data reside, yielding low response times. A cold start process brings summarized data from the relational database to cache memory, subsequently reducing the response time. We ensure concurrent access to the summarized data, as well as consistency when the relational database updates data. We also improve the OLAP functionality, by providing new features for automating the creation of calculated members. This makes it possible to define new measures on the fly using virtual dimensions, without re‐designing the multidimensional cube. We have chosen the XML/A de facto standard for service provision. The aim of this study was to analyse the physiological strain of firefighters, using heart rate (HR) and core temperature, during real wildfire suppression according to the type of attack performed (direct, indirect or mixed). Three intensity zones were established according to the HR corresponding to the ventilatory threshold (VT) and respiratory compensation threshold (RCT): zone 1, RCT. The exercise workload (training impulse (TRIMP)), the physiological strain index (PSI) and the cumulative heat strain index(CHSI) were calculated using the time spent in each zone, and the HR and core temperature, respectively. Significantly higher mean HR, time spent in Z2 and Z3 and TRIMP h(-1) were found in direct and mixed versus indirect attacks. The highest PSI and CHSI were observed in the direct attack. In conclusion, exercise strain and combined thermal strain, but not core temperature during wildfire suppression, are related to the type of attack performed. STATEMENT OF RELEVANCE: Our findings demonstrated that wildfire firefighting is associated with high physiological demands, which vary significantly depending on the tactics chosen for performing the task. These results should be kept in mind when planning programmes to improve wildland firefighters' physical fitness, which will allow improvement in their performance.  相似文献

This paper describes an implementation of a mobile robot system for autonomous navigation in outdoor concurred walkways. The task was to navigate through nonmodified pedestrian paths with people and bicycles passing by. The robot has multiple redundant sensors, which include wheel encoders, an inertial measurement unit, a differential global positioning system, and four laser scanner sensors. All the computation was done on a single laptop computer. A previously constructed map containing waypoints and landmarks for position correction is given to the robot. The robot system's perception, road extraction, and motion planning are detailed. The system was used and tested in a 1‐km autonomous robot navigation challenge held in the City of Tsukuba, Japan, named “Tsukuba Challenge 2007.” The proposed approach proved to be robust for outdoor navigation in cluttered and crowded walkways, first on campus paths and then running the challenge course multiple times between trials and the challenge final. The paper reports experimental results and overall performance of the system. Finally the lessons learned are discussed. The main contribution of this work is the report of a system integration approach for autonomous outdoor navigation and its evaluation. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of the ageing time on the quality characteristics of yearling calf meat under vacuum. Ninety-six Rubia Gallega yearling calves were used. Samples of the Longissimus thoracis at 1 day post slaughter as a control, and vacuum-packaged for 7, 14 and 21 days were analysed. Colour (lightness, L*, redness, a*, yellowness, b*, hue, Ho, chroma, C*, and pigment concentration), water-holding capacity (expressible juice and cooking losses), pH and toughness were measured. The statistical analysis showed an increase in a*, b*, Ho and C* and a decrease in expressible juice, cooking losses and toughness as the ageing time increased. Discriminant analysis divided the samples into two groups; i.e., 1-day post-slaughter samples and vacuum-packaged samples. Considering vacuum-packaged samples only, canonical discriminant analysis separated the long-ageing samples (21 days) from the short-ageing samples (7 days).  相似文献

Proteolytic and lipolytic changes were studied throughout ripening of five batches of León cow's milk cheese, a traditional variety made in the north of Spain. Total soluble nitrogen, non-protein nitrogen, oligopeptides nitrogen, amino nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen fractions increased slightly during the ripening process. The final values of these nitrogen fractions indicate that this cheese undergoes a very slight proteolysis as much in extent as in depth. This weak protein degradation is corroborated when the caseins and their degradation products were quantified by electrophoresis. β-Casein stayed practically intact throughout the ripening process and only 10% of αs-casein became degraded. The content of total free amino acids increased progressively but in a slightly increased way during ripening, reaching final average values of 592 mg (100 g)−1 of total solids. The most abundant free amino acid at the end of ripening was lysine, followed by leucine, glutamic acid, tryptophan, valine and phenylalanine. The acidity index of the fat values increased during ripening by a factor of 4.39. The final values of this parameter are in the range of those observed in other cow's milk cheeses ripened by bacteria. The content in total free fatty acids underwent an increase throughout ripening reaching final average values of 6669 ppm. The most abundant free fatty acid at the end of ripening was oleic acid followed by butyric and palmitic acids. The high content of short-chain fatty acids is outstanding, specially that of butyric acid.  相似文献
