A laser pumped zig-zag dye laser operating at 568 nm with a pulse length ~2 μs has been sealed to high power using a MOPA configuration. Pulse energies in excess of 7 J with beam quality <2 XDL have been achieved under repetitively pulsed, 10 Hz operation. RMS jitter was measured as 0.12 of a 1 XDL spot. The device has operated with over 70 W output for runs up to 5 s. Substantially longer run times and output powers are possible. This device represents an advance in dye laser capabilities. Improvement in pointing accuracy of better than an order of magnitude have been demonstrated. The consistency of a family of least-squares estimates of some unknown parameters of a continuous-time linear stochastic system is verified. The unknown parameters appear affinely in the linear transformations of the state and the control. The loss of immunotolerance has been implicated in the pathogenesis of both primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) and idiopathic, immune-mediated thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). An association between these two autoimmune diseases has been well described. We describe a 41-year-old woman in whom ITP developed 457 days after liver transplantation for PBC while receiving immunosuppressive medications sufficient to maintain allograft function. Our case report, the first to describe post-transplant ITP in association with PBC, demonstrates the persistence of the underlying immune dysregulation of PBC after transplantation. The practice of decreasing the dosage of immunosuppressive medication to maintenance levels after transplantation may unmask the effects of this defect in immunotolerance. 相似文献

An XeF (C →A ) laser, pumped at a rate of 290 kW/cm3 with a 600-ns electron-beam pulse, has been operated as an injection-controlled oscillator. A stable cavity has been injected with radiation from a pulsed dye laser source. A significant reduction in laser turn-on time has been achieved, and the laser pulse duration has been extended to 500 ns (FWHM). As a consequence, the laser intrinsic efficiency and specific output energy have been increased by approximately 50%, to 1.8% and 3 J/L, respectively, which represent the best performance obtained thus far for any directly electrically excited XeF (C →A ) laser. Also, by injecting a narrowband signal into the cavity, the XeF (C →A ) laser linewidth has been reduced by more than two orders of magnitude, to less than 1.3 Å, the resolution of the spectrometer. Numerical differentiation formulas that yield consistent least squares parameter estimates from sampled observations of linear, time invariant higher order systems have been introduced previously by Duncan et al. (1994). The formulas given by Duncan et al. have the same limiting system of equations as in the continuous time case. The formula presented in this note can be characterized as preserving asymptotically a partial integration rule. It leads to limiting equations for the parameter estimates that are different from the continuous case, but they again imply consistency. This paper deals with design and implementation of a random access dual ported memory with a sustained bandwidth of 100 MByte/s. Data blocks can be stored and retained in arbitrary order. This goal is achieved by a specialized scarch-processor based on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). The main advantage is the hardware-implemented search in alphabetical search trees which garantees the real-time behaviour. We report a substantial reduction of frequency chirp of a single-mode laser-pumped zigzag dye laser. A linear optical cavity using counterpropagating orthogonally polarized waves was injection-seeded at 568 mn and operated with a laser output of about 1 J. The chirp was controlled by an intracavity Pockels cell that was configured to add optical density at a rate which counterbalanced the decrease in optical density due to dye-solvent heating during the ~1-μs laser pulse. XeF laser performance has been investigated for F2 versus NF3 as the halogen donor (fuel). The experiments were all performed in 3 AMAGAT Ne/Xe/fuel mixtures at ambient temperature and a pump rate of 132 KW/cm3on a 1 me -beam pumped laser. The F2 -based laser mixture has been shown to be recyclable, with no loss in laser output, while laser performance steadily degrades for NF2 -fueled mixtures under repetitively pulsed conditions. Despite the fact that F3 absorbs at the XeF wavelength, it has been demonstrated that under appropriately chosen conditions the XeF intrinsic efficiency is essentially the same (2.2 percent) for both F2 and NF3 fuels for deposited energy loadings up to at least 150 j/l. Absorption, gain, fuel burn-up, and fluorescence were also measured in order to better characterize the laser medium and to determine the major factors contributing to the efficiency. 相似文献
