Zirconium(IV) tungstoiodophosphate has been synthesized under a variety of conditions. The most chemically and thermally stable
sample is prepared by adding a mixture of aqueous solutions of 0·5 mol L−1 sodium tungstate, potassium iodate and 1 mol L−1 orthophosphoric acid to aqueous solution of 0·1 mol L−1 zirconium(IV) oxychloride. Its ion exchange capacity for Na+ and K+ was found to be 2·20 and 2·35 meq g−1 dry exchanger, respectively. The material has been characterized on the basis of chemical composition, pH titration, Fourier
transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis. The effect on the exchange capacity of drying the exchanger
at different temperatures has been studied. The analytical importance of the material has been established by quantitative

During the recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in the development and deployment of multimedia based networked applications such as video streaming, IP telephony, interactive games, among others. These applications, in contrast to elastic applications such as email and data sharing, are delay and delay jitter sensitive but can tolerate certain level of packet loss. A vital element of end-to-end delay and delay jitter is the random queueing delays in network switches and routers. Analysis of robust mechanisms for buffer management at network routers needs to be carried out in order to reduce end-to-end delay for traffic generated by multimedia applications. In this context, a threshold based buffer management scheme for accommodating multiple class multimedia traffic in network routers has been analysed. This technique effectively controls the allocation of buffer to various traffic classes according to their delay constraints. The forms of the joint state probabilities, as well as basic performance measures such as blocking probabilities are analytically established at equilibrium. Typical numerical experiments are included to illustrate the credibility of the proposed mechanism in the context of different quality of service (QoS) grades for various network traffic classes. This model, therefore, can be used as a powerful tool to provide a required grade of service to a particular class of multimedia based web traffic in any heterogeneous network. 相似文献

This paper investigates a local observer-based leader-following consensus control of one-sided Lipschitz (OSL) multi-agent systems (MASs) under input saturation. The proposed consensus control scheme has been formulated by using the OSL property, input saturation, directed graphs, estimated states, and quadratic inner-boundedness condition by attaining the regional stability. It is assumed that the graph always includes a (directed) spanning tree with respect to the leader root to develop matrix inequalities for investigating parameters of the proposed observer and consensus protocols. Further, a new observer-based consensus tracking method for MASs with saturation, concerning independent topologies for communicating outputs and estimates over the network, is explored to deal with a more perplexing and realistic situation. In contrast to the traditional methods, the proposed consensus approach considers output feedback and deals with the input saturation for a generalized class of nonlinear systems. The efficiency of the obtained results is illustrated via application to a group of five moving agents in the Cartesian coordinates. 相似文献

The current–voltage (I–V) and optical characteristics of 4-hydroxy coumarin Schottky diode were investigated. The conventional methods related with device were used to extract the various diode parameters. From dielectric study low dielectric constant and loss was observed. From its optical study, an indirect allowed transition is shown by this compound. The optical band gap (E g ) was found to be around 3.78 eV. In this study, a drilling experiment was conducted on titanium ASTM B265 Grade 2 material using PVD coated carbide inserts. Two types of coolants (Wet and LN2) were used. The variables in the experiment were feed rate (f) and cutting speed (Vc). The depth of the drilling was constant. Cutting temperature (T), thrust force (Ft), surface roughness (Ra), and the hole quality (circularity, cylindricity, and perpendicularity) were analyzed. The tool wear and chip morphology were studied. The result of the experiment indicates that there is 6–59% reduction in cutting temperature when LN2 is used, high thrust force values were recorded for LN2 coolant condition, surface roughness (Ra) values were higher for LN2 coolants. Hole quality is not favorable in LN2 coolant supply. 相似文献

Lung cancer is the most critical disease because it affects both men and women. Most of the time, lung cancer leads to death due to less health care and medical attention. In addition, lung cancer is difficult to identify in earlier stages due to the low-level symptoms and risk factors. To overcome the complexity, effective techniques must predict lung cancer earlier. To attain the problem statement, an lung cancer identification system is developed with the help of a meta-heuristic algorithm. The CT imageries obtained from the CIA database are analyzed step by step. The gathered image noise is removed by applying the mean filter, and the affected regions are segmented with the help of the Butterfly Optimization Algorithm-based K-Means Clustering (BOAKMC) algorithm. Afterward, various statistical features are derived, and the Supervised Jaya Optimized Rough Set related Feature Selection (SJORSFS) process is used to select the lung features. Finally, the lung cancer is identified using Autoencoder based Recurrent Neural Network (ARNN) classification algorithm, successfully recognizing the lung cancer features. Then the system's efficiency is evaluated using a MATLAB setup; here, 3000 are treated as training images and 2043 for testing images. The effective training enhances overall lung cancer prediction accuracy by up to 99.15%. 相似文献

The conversion of large amount of demolished waste into alternate source of building material will contribute not only as a solution to growing waste problem of waste disposal, but also it will conserve the natural resources of other building material and thereby reduce the cost of construction. The present work makes an effort to safe and economic use of recycled mortar as a supplementary material. Conventional and recycled brick prisms were casted with varying percentage of demolished waste added (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%) replacing cement and tested under compression testing machine. As the replacement is increasing, the strength is decreasing. A 1:4 scale single storey brick model was fabricated on shake table for dynamic testing using pure friction isolation system (friction material for coarse dry sand, μ = 0.36). Pure friction isolation technique can be adopted economically in developing countries where low-rise building prevails due to their low cost. The superstructure was separated from the foundation at plinth level, so as to permit sliding of superstructure during severe earthquake. The observed values of acceleration and displacement responses compare fairly with the analytical values of the analytical model except in displacement beyond 2.4 kN. It also concluded that 20% replacement of cement by demolished waste could be safely adopted without endangering the safety of the masonry structures under seismic load.To have an idea that how much energy is dissipated through this isolation, the same model with fixed base was tested and results were compared with the isolated free sliding model and it has been observed that more than 70% energy is dissipated through this pure friction isolation technique. In case of base isolation, no visible cracks were observed up to a table force of 4.25 kN (1300 rpm), whereas for fixed base failure started at 800 rpm and complete bond failure was observed at 1300 rpm. 相似文献

Hydroxyl ion (OH?) conducting anion exchange membranes based on modified poly (phenylene oxide) are fabricated for their application in alkaline polymer electrolyte fuel cells (APEFCs). In the present study, chloromethylation of poly(phenylene oxide) (PPO) is performed by aryl substitution rather than benzyl substitution and homogeneously quaternized to form an anion exchange membrane (AEM). 1H NMR and FT-IR studies reveal successful incorporation of the above groups in the polymer backbone. The membrane is characterized for its ion exchange capacity and water uptake. The membrane formed by these processes show good ionic conductivity and when used in fuel cell exhibited an enhanced performance in comparison with the state-of-the-art commercial AHA membrane. A peak power density of 111 mW/cm2 at a load current density of 250 mA/cm2 is obtained for PPO based membrane in APEFCs at 30 °C. 相似文献
