It has been reported that an anisotropic magnetic field could produce the three-dimensional alignment of fine single-crystal particles with the orthorhombic crystal structure.However,the three-dimensional alignment was achieved only in suspensions.Fabrication of bulk"single"materials that have the three-dimensional alignment of grains has been desired.This study proposes a procedure for the fabrication,which consists of slip casting under an oscillating magnetic field and sintering.Optimization of casting and sintering conditions achieved the three-dimensionally aligned bulkβ-FeSi2.  相似文献

New Pb-based 1222 cuprates containing phosphorus have been synthesized in the (Pb0.75P0.25)Sr2- (RE2–xy Ce x Sr y )Cu2O z (RE = Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Y) systems. The almost-single phase samples are obtained for 0.5≤x≤1.0 and y=0.1 in the cases of RE = Nd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Y, while for 0.3≤x≤1.0 and y=0.1 in the cases of RE = Sm, Eu and Gd. The samples crystallize in a tetragonal lattice, the lattice parameters a and c are decreasing with the decrease of the ionic radius of the RE element. Even after annealing under 143 atm O2 atmosphere at 400 °C, almost all the samples with the common values x=0.5 and y=0.1 are semiconductors with a transport process followed by three-dimensional variable range hopping. However, the samples of RE = Sm, Eu and Gd, which are of almost single 1222 phase, even for x=0.3 and y=0.1, show superconductivity with the onsets at about 25 K, 20 K and 22 K, respectively. Through this study, we find very important procedure for discovery of new superconducting 1222 compound.  相似文献

The phonon thermal conductivity of misfit-layered Ca3Co4O9 has been calculated by perturbed molecular dynamics using a classical force field. Detailed numerical analyses reveal that, in spite of its smaller cross-sectional area, the CoO2 layer transports more heat than the thicker rock salt (RS) layer, although its local thermal conduction is more suppressed than in another layered cobaltite, Na x CoO2. The origins of these differences have been elucidated through careful examination of the atomic arrangements in each layer. Since thermal conduction in the RS layer can be reduced without deteriorating electronic properties for which the CoO2 layer is responsible, it is suggested that the RS layer should be modified to further suppress the overall in-plane thermal conductivity. Computational experiments with increasing number of Ca–O planes in the RS layer showed the opposite trend to what can be predicted based on the misfit between two dissimilar layers. Further analyses to reveal the origin of these unexpected results provide yet another strategy to further decrease the thermal conductivity, namely to control the dynamic interference between atoms across the interface between two layers.  相似文献

We report production of the functional disaccharide gentiobiose β-D-Glcp-(1→6)-D-Glc by a hydrolysis reaction of hydrothermally treated Aureobasidium pullulans β-1,3-1,6-glucan as the substrate and Kitalase as the enzyme. Gentiobiose was produced over the pH range 4−6 and the concentration of gentiobiose produced decreased above pH 7. The maximum value of gentiobiose production was unaffected by the enzyme concentration. The maximum concentration of gentiobiose produced was dependent on the substrate concentration whereas the maximum ratio of gentiobiose to glucose was not. The production of gentiobiose from yeast β-1,3-1,6-glucan was lower than that from A. pullulans β-1,3-1,6-glucan.  相似文献

Silica-modified titanium oxide (S-TiO2) powders that have an anatase structure were synthesized via the thermal decomposition of mixtures of titanium(IV) isopropoxide (TIP) and tetramethyl orthosilicate (TMOS) in toluene at 300°C. These S-TiO2 materials had high rutile-transformation temperatures and maintained large surface areas at elevated temperatures (550°–1000°C). For example, the product that was prepared from a 9:1 TIP:TMOS mixture transformed to rutile at ∼1100°C and possessed a surface area of 160 m2/g, even after calcination at 800°C for 1 h.  相似文献

Activation in numerous regions of the brain is likely to be involved in the complex neural network function of pain perception. To detect the cortical representation during nonpainful and painful stimuli, which were presented using electrical finger stimulation in six normal right-handed male volunteers, we performed echo-planar functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Using a 1.5-T MR system that scanned the supratentorial region of the brain, we obtained multislice BOLD-based functional MR images with single-shot gradient-echo echo-planar imaging (EPI). The data show that dispersed brain regions are activated during painful stimulation, and especially demonstrate the significance of the SII-insular region in pain perception.  相似文献

Bi-based superconducting compounds with the 2222 structure has been already synthesized in the Bi2Sr2- (Ln1−x Ce x )2Cu2O10+y (Ln = Sm, Eu, and Gd) systems. One of the characteristics of these compounds is the existence of the fluorite-like (Ln1−x Ce x )2O2 block between two CuO5 pyramids in the crystal structure. The tetravalent ions of Ce4+ are reported to be necessary to stabilize the 2222 structure. Recently, we have discovered that the Bi-2222 phase could be composed in the Bi2Sr2(Ln2−x Zr x )Cu2O z (Ln = Sm, Eu, Gd, and Dy) systems, where Zr4+ is used as a new tetravalent ion stabilizing the 2222 structure in stead of Ce4+. In the new system, nearly single 2222 phase samples have been obtained at the nominal composition of x=0.5 (Ln = Sm, Eu, and Gd) and in the range of 0.1≤x≤0.3 (Ln = Dy). Among them, the sample with Ln = Gd has the smallest resistivity at 273 K. But it is a semiconductor, and the conduction process at low temperatures is assumed to be followed by a two-dimensional VRH. The experimental results for the Gd samples with a partial substitution of Pb for Bi in the Bi2Sr2(Gd2−x Zr x )Cu2O z system are also reported.  相似文献

Synchrotron X-ray radiography at 125 frames per second was used to study deformation mechanisms in semi-solid Fe-C alloys at high solid fraction and shear strain rates of 10?1/s. An image correlation approach was also used to quantify the shear strain fields and study shear-induced dilation and the origin of shear cracking. It was shown that, at high solid fraction (90 to 93 pct solid), rearrangement including rotation and translation of solid particles became restricted and shear strain localized into narrow liquid-filled channels/fissures. Shear cracking was shown to originate from inadequate liquid flow into the expanding spaces between solid particles caused by shear-induced dilation. At lower solid fraction (~85 pct solid), solid particles rearranged with a significantly higher component of rotation leading to more shear-induced dilation and a wider shear band.  相似文献
