Das Internet ist heute eine globale Infrastruktur, deren st?ndige Verfügbarkeit mehr oder weniger als gegeben angenommen wird. Die Einführung neuer Technologien (z. B. Multicast, IPv6) in diese Infrastruktur erweist sich aus unterschiedlichen Gründen als schwierig. Vielmehr haben sich Overlay-Netze in diesem Kontext als Innovationsmotor etabliert. Diese werden von Endger?ten am Netzrand aufgespannt, ben?tigen somit keine neuen Komponenten in der Netzinfrastruktur und lassen sich selbstorganisierend sowie skalierbar einsetzen. Interessant sind diese Eigenschaften auch für den Overlay-basierten Aufbau und Betrieb von Kommunikationsnetzen an sich, mit dem Ziel, unbeeinflusst von Mobilit?t, Multi-Homing und Heterogenit?t der Protokolle und Zugangsnetze nahtlose Konnektivit?t zwischen Endger?ten herzustellen. Dieser Artikel zeigt anhand von Beispielen auf, wie Overlays die Entwicklung neuer Dienste im Internet vorantreiben k?nnen. Als Beispiel für eine Overlay-basierte Netzarchitektur, welche die Realisierung neuer Dienste und Anwendungen erm?glicht, wird die Architektur zur Realisierung von Spontanen Virtuellen Netzen (SpoVNet) und deren Netzabstraktionsschicht ariba detailliert vorgestellt.  相似文献

The NP-hard component set identification problem is a combinatorial problem arising in the context of knowledge discovery, information integration, and knowledge source/service composition. Considering a granular knowledge domain consisting of a large number of individual bits and pieces of domain knowledge (properties) and a large number of knowledge sources and services that provide mappings between sets of properties, the objective of the component set identification problem is to select a minimum cost combination of knowledge sources that can provide a joint mapping from a given set of initially available properties (initial knowledge) to a set of initially unknown properties (target knowledge). We provide a general framework for heuristics and consider construction heuristics that are followed by local improvement heuristics. Computational results are reported on randomly generated problem instances.  相似文献

In a liquid environment, at high dilutions, fertility of bull sperm is maintained for 3-5 days when stored at ambient temperatures (10-21 degrees C), after which time it steadily declines at a rate of 3-6% per day. This decline in fertility occurs irrespective of whether the sperm are stored at 5 degrees C or at 15 degrees C, but the rate is greater once storage temperatures exceed 25 degrees C. Sperm motility can be maintained for extended periods in an environment where the extracellular oxidative stress is minimized by reducing the oxygen tension, by addition of antioxidants and chelating agents; however, this will not prevent a significant drop in fertility after five days of storage at ambient temperature. The requirement of energy by the sperm-motility apparatus demands a high level of respiratory activity. This system is very active and the free radicals produced in vivo during this process could lead to chromatin damage. As no internal repair mechanism exists in sperm, an extraneous supply of protectants, or an environment where damage is minimized, is essential to maintain its fertilizing potential. The lack of extended storage potential of sperm, even in the presence of antioxidants, seems to suggest that although oocyte-penetrating ability of the sperm could still be intact, the high rate of intracellular metabolic activity could lead to mitochondrial DNA damage and chromosomal abnormalities that would compromise the viability of the resulting conceptus.  相似文献

This paper presents the results of scale size experiments using a tungsten-alloy long-rod projectile fired against 97.5% Al2O3 ceramic targets at 1.8 and 2.6 km/s. Two targets were used, one having lateral steel confinement; the other without. The projectile overmatched the target, and residual projectile length and velocity were recorded using ballistic-syncro photography. Flash radiography was used during penetration of the unconfined target to obtain the penetration velocity. Manganin pressure gauges were also used to obtain additional data on the response of the ceramic target during penetration. Results from the eight experiments indicate that the confinement reduced the residual energy of the projectile at both impact velocities. Expressed in terms of the projectile impact energy, 55–56% was lost in the unconfined target at 2.6 km/s compared with 60% for the confined design. The same trend was found at 1.8 km/s with 68% and 72–73% for the unconfined and confined, respectively. Predictions using the QinetiQ GRIM2D hydrocode and a simplified form of the Johnson–Holmquist ceramic material model agreed well with the experiments for three out of the four test configurations. The predicted projectile erosion and retardation against the confined target at 1.8 km/s was excessively high. Analytical predictions using the Tate modified Bernoulli equation also gave reasonably accurate predictions for three of the tests, but values for the Tate target ‘strength’ extracted from experiments using a different target configuration were not accurate for the target design used in this paper.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: To characterize the acute and chronic cellular effects of botulinum toxin (BT) injection into rat laryngeal muscles. A complete characterization of these effects is important because patients with focal dystonias of the head and neck are commonly treated with BT injection. Further, potential muscular changes in the larynx must be carefully delineated owing to the critical phonatory and airway protective functions of these muscles. STUDY DESIGN: The acute and chronic cellular effects of BT injection were studied using 5'-bromo 2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) following single and repeated BT injection into rat laryngeal muscles. BrdU is incorporated into mitotically active nuclei such that changes in cell proliferative behavior following BT injection can be monitored. RESULTS: Increased mitotic activity was detected in the tissue samples studied following BT injection. Differences in the times of the peak distribution of BrdU-labeled cells in each laryngeal muscle were observed. This may be related to the diffusion effects of BT. Prolonged muscle fiber changes, including splitting, were also observed as the result of repeated BT injection. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this study suggest that BT may induce a proliferative response in muscle tissue.  相似文献

Neutrophils play an important part in the development of acute inflammatory injury. Human neutrophils contain high levels of the serine protease elastase, which is stored in azurophilic granules and is secreted in response to inflammatory stimuli. Elastase is capable of degrading many components of extracellular matrix [1-4] and has cytotoxic effects on endothelial cells [5-7] and airway epithelial cells. Three types of endogenous protease inhibitors control the activity of neutrophil elastase, including alpha-1 protease inhibitor (alpha-1PI), alpha-2 macroglobulin and secreted leukoproteinase inhibitor (SLPI) [8-10]. A disturbed balance between neutrophil elastase and these inhibitors has been found in various acute clinical conditions (such as adult respiratory syndrome and ischemia-reperfusion injury) and in chronic diseases. We investigated the effect of NX21909, a selected oligonucleotide (aptamer) inhibitor of elastase, in an animal model of acute lung inflammatory disease [11-14]. This inhibitor was previously selected from a hybrid library of randomized DNA and a small-molecule irreversible inhibitor of elastase (a valine diphenyl ester phosphonate, Fig. 1), by the blended SELEX process [15]. We show that NX21909 inhibits lung injury and neutrophil influx in a dose-dependent manner, the first demonstration of efficacy by an aptamer in an animal disease model.  相似文献

Tungsten rods were shot through blocks of 6061T6 aluminum. The rods were partially eroded, and the remaining length emerged from behind the aluminum accompanied by a large number of small tungsten particles. These constitute behind-armor debris, which is of great practical importance. Analysis of data shows that most debris is generated near the exit face of the aluminum, the particle number increases with velocity, and the particle size increases with rod diameter. The latter two observations are consistent with the Grady–Kipp theory for rate effects on fracture.
