As a result of an international cooperative project entitled "Common Standards for Quantitative Electrocardiography" (CSE), an ECG reference data base has been established with the aim of standardizing computer-derived ECG measurements. The objective of the project is to reduce the wide variation in wave measurements currently obtained by ECG analysis programs. A library of 250 ECGs with selective ECG abnormalities was established and a comprehensive reviewing scheme was devised for the visual determination of the onsets and offsets of P, QRS, and T. This task was performed by a board of cardiologists on highly amplified, selected complexes from the library. A subset was examined in order to study beat-to-beat and intraobserver variability. By using a modified Delphi approach, individual outlying point estimates were eliminated in four successive rounds. In this way final referee estimates were obtained which proved to be highly reproducible and precise. A reference library has thereby been developed which allows testing of the performance of ECG measurement programs and is a useful instrument in establishing recommendations for more precise measurement rules and definitions. 相似文献

This paper discusses a formal and rigorous approach to the analysis of operator interaction with machines. It addresses the acute problem of detecting design errors in human-machine interaction and focuses on verifying the correctness of the interaction in complex and automated control systems. The paper describes a systematic methodology for evaluating whether the interface provides the necessary information about the machine to enable the operator to perform a specified task successfully and unambiguously. It also addresses the adequacy of information provided to the user via training material (e.g., user manual) about the machine's behavior. The essentials of the methodology, which can be automated and applied to the verification of large systems, are illustrated by several examples and through a case study of pilot interaction with an autopilot aboard a modern commercial aircraft. The expected application of this methodology is an augmentation and enhancement, by formal verification, of human-automation interfaces. 相似文献

Magnetostatic actuators exhibit bistability similarly to the pull-in phenomena of electrostatic actuators. In this paper a methodology and model for the extraction of the magnetic Pull-In parameters of magnetostatic actuators are derived. The flux-controlled magnetostatic actuator is analyzed based on the energy representation and the magnetomotive force-controlled magnetostatic actuator is analyzed in the thermodynamic potential energy (or co-energy) representation. An algebraic equation, referred to as the magnetic Pull-In equation, for each of the two cases (flux-controlled and magnetomotive force-controlled actuators) is derived. By solving these Pull-In equations either analytically or numerically, the magnetic Pull-In parameters are obtained. Several case studies, covering displacement and torsion magnetic actuators, are presented and analyzed, illustrating the usefulness of the proposed methodology, its relative simplicity as well as the adaptability and practical usage in wide spectrum of magnetic actuators.
