New building of the Lange Brücke in Potsdam, Germany. The following article describes the construction and conceptual design of the newly built Lange Brücke in Potsdam. The design, which consists of two strutted frame bridges, won first prize in the architecture competition attached to the remodelling of the traffic routing in central Potsdam together with the reconstruction of the Potsdam City Palace. A happy outcome of a constructive and congenial collaboration between engineer and architect, the design succeeds in establishing a symbiotic balance between a technically innovative solution, marked by an exceedingly slender, integral‐type bridge, with a formal mode of expression that, although modern, retains a historical sensitivity.  相似文献

Adult syncytial giant cell hepatitis (GCH) is an uncommon and often fulminant form of hepatitis that may be caused by infection with a novel paramyxo-like virus. We present the case of a 69-yr-old man who presented with acute, community-acquired hepatitis and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. A liver biopsy showed the typical findings of panlobular syncytial giant cell hepatitis. Electron microscopic examination demonstrated abundant nucleocapsid-like protein material in the cytoplasm and nuclei of affected hepatocytes. These structures were similar to, but distinct from, those of known paramyxoviridae, suggesting infection with a novel, related virus. In situ hybridization studies with a probe directed against the measles fusion protein gene gave a positive signal with a hepatocyte distribution. No signal was obtained with the measles nucleocapsid protein probe, suggesting that the disease agent was genetically distinct from, but related to, the measles virus. Subsequent liver biopsies were characterized by the gradual disappearance of the giant cell changes and by the concomitant development of cirrhosis. This is a case of adult GCH that resolved spontaneously and led to cirrhosis, thus implicating GCH as a potential cause of "cryptogenic" liver disease. Our findings provide further support for the existence of a distinct, as yet unidentified viral species as a cause of this disease.  相似文献

This paper deals with the design of processor arrays for regular algorithms. The design is constrained by limited implementation cost characterizing a reconfigurable architecture. The objective of the design is to minimize the latency of the processor array. The presented approach to determine a scheduling function leading to the minimal latency of the processor array is formulated as a linear program that incorporates 1) the selection of modules to be implemented in processors to execute operations of the algorithm, 2) the binding of operations to modules, 3) the computation of the number of registers, 4) the limitation of implementation cost for modules and registers, 5) the determination of the size of partitions that allows to match the limited implementation cost.  相似文献
