A new silicone containing macromonomer, 4‐(methacrylamido) phenoxy polymethylhydrosiloxane (4‐MPMHS) with a vinyl group, was successfully synthesized. Then poly (silicone‐co‐styrene‐co‐butylacrylate) with montmorillonite, P (Si‐co‐St‐co‐BA) with MMT nanocomposite emulsion was prepared by in situ intercalative emulsion polymerization of styrene (St), butyl acrylate (BA), and 4‐MPMHS, in the presence of organic modified montmorillonite (OMMT) with different OMMT contents (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2 wt %). Potassium persulphate (KPS) was used as an initiator and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSA) and nonyl phenol ethylene oxide—40 U (NP‐40) were used as anionic and nonionic emulsifiers, respectively. The resulting macromonomer was characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier transformer infrared (FT‐IR), proton (1H NMR), and carbon (13C NMR) nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopes. The OMMT was characterized by FT‐IR and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). The nanocomposite emulsions were characterized by using Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), laser light scattering, and surface tension method. Thermal properties of the copolymers were studied using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and then the effects of OMMT percent on the water absorption ratio and drying speed were examined. Results showed that OMMT could improve the properties of emulsion. In other words, the properties of nanocomposite emulsions were better when compared with those of the silicone‐acrylate emulsion. The property of nanocomposite emulsion containing 1 wt % OMMT was the best one, and the following advantages were obtained: smaller particle size, faster drying speed, smaller surface tension, and improved water resistance by the incorporation of OMMT. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this work, biosorption of Brilliant green (BG) and Methylene blue (MB) dyes in binary mixture onto Saccharomyces cerevisiae were studied. pH at which the biosorption capacity of biomass is maximum was found to be 6 which is close to the pH of natural aqueous solutions. This is a big advantage of S. cerevisiae which makes it applicable for the technology of dye removal from natural aqueous dye solutions. Note that the time for the applied biosorption process for the dye removal is considerably short (about 5 min) which is a big improvement for the adsorption processes. This proves that the S. cerevisiae is a promising adsorbent. The BG and MB dyes were simultaneously analyzed using the fifth and fourth order derivative spectrophotometric method, respectively. Several isotherm models were applied to experimental data and the isotherm constants were calculated for BG and MB dyes. Among the applied models, Freundlich isotherm model showed best fit to the biosorption equilibrium data.  相似文献

The aim of this research was to fabricate YBa2Cu3O7?δ (YBCO) superconductor composite with graphene oxide nanosheets and to study the effect of the graphene oxide nanosheets on YBCO superconductor properties. For this purpose, the samples of pure superconductor and superconductor composite with 0.001, 0.01, and 0.1 wt.% graphene oxide were synthesized. First, graphite oxide was made by Hummer’s chemical method; after that, graphene oxide nanosheets were produced by bath-keeper ultrasonic. Then, different amounts of graphene oxide were added to the process of superconductor fabrication, which was made by solid-state reaction method. The samples were characterized and studied by Meissner effect test, XRD analysis, FESEM imaging, EDX measurement, and ac magnetic susceptibility. The critical current density (Jc) of samples was measured by four probes method. The results showed that by increasing the weight ratio of graphene oxide, Jc and Tc decrease.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a novel Patch Geodesic Distance (PGD) to transform the texture map of an object through its shape data for robust 2.5D object recognition. Local geodesic paths within patches and global geodesic paths for patches are combined in a coarse to fine hierarchical computation of PGD for each surface point to tackle the missing data problem in 2.5D images. Shape adjusted texture patches are encoded into local patterns for similarity measurement between two 2.5D images with different viewing angles and/or shape deformations. An extensive experimental investigation is conducted on 2.5 face images using the publicly available BU-3DFE and Bosphorus databases covering face recognition under expression and pose changes. The performance of the proposed method is compared with that of three benchmark approaches. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method provides a very encouraging new solution for 2.5D object recognition.  相似文献

In this paper, a sample from Tange-zagh iron mine was characterized by gravity and magnetic separation methods. The mineralogical studies showed that hematite and goethite are the main iron-bearing minerals with insignificant amounts of FeO. The results indicated that spiral separation yields higher separation efficiency than others. The combination of spiral and multi gravity methods showed that the grade and recovery could be obtained 58.7 and 55.6%, respectively. Scrubbing and de-sliming stages increased the recovery in the wet high intensity magnetic process. With a four-stage process of separation, the WHIMS by scrubbing and de-sliming was applied to achieve a final concentrate with grade of 62.6% Fe and recovery of 57.1% Fe.  相似文献

Trichoderma reesei was used as a biosorbent for the removal of Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions. The influence of factors such as pH, mass of biomass, contact time and temperature on biosorption efficiency was optimized. To calculate the isotherm parameters for the biosorption of Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions at optimized conditions, the experimental equilibrium data were fitted to Langmuir and Freundlich models. The calculated thermodynamic parameters, ΔG°, ΔH° and ΔS° showed that the biosorption of Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions onto T. reesei biomass was feasible, spontaneous and endothermic at the optimized conditions. The results of kinetic analysis showed that the biosorption of the selected metal ions onto T. reesei biomass obeys pseudo second order kinetics.  相似文献
