The electrochemical deposition and dissolution of aluminium on glassy carbon, platinum and gold electrodes in chloraluminate melts have been investigated using linear sweep voltammetry and potentiostatic pulse techniques. It was shown that deposition of aluminium on the glassy carbon electrode at low overpotentials takes place by 3-D progressive nucleation and growth, with the incorporation of atoms in the crystal lattice as the rate-determining step. At overpotentials higher than –100 mV vs Al, in the melts containing more than 52 mol % of AlCl3, diffusion of Al2Cl

In this paper the polarization characteristics of the processes of Ni and Co powders and Ni-Co alloy powders electrodeposition from ammonium sulfate containing supporting electrolyte are investigated as a function of Ni2+ and Co2+ ions concentrations. It is shown that the correct polarization curves for Ni and Co powders and Ni-Co alloy powders electrodeposition could be obtained only after IR drop correction, since the total current density of electrodeposition at the most negative potential of −1.4 V versus Ag|AgCl is extremely high (up to about 3-6 A cm−2) as a consequence of simultaneous hydrogen evolution which starts immediately after the beginning of metals (alloys) deposition. After determining the current density for hydrogen evolution and its subtraction from the total current density, correct polarization curves for Ni and Co powders and Ni-Co alloy powders electrodeposition are obtained. They are found to be different for each ratio of Ni2+/Co2+ ions concentration. It is also concluded that the shape of the polarization curves in all cases is practically defined by the shape of the polarization curve for hydrogen evolution. The morphology and composition of electrodeposited powders were also found to be sensitive to the ratio of Ni2+/Co2+ ions concentration. 相似文献

In this study, different Ni–W coatings, obtained by cheap and technologically simple electrodeposition method, were examined as potential electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). All electrodepositions were done on a Ni mesh substrate from ammoniacal-citrate bath containing different concentrations of Na2WO4. The influence of deposition parameters, such as deposition current density, pH and composition of ammoniacal-citrate bath on electrocatalytic activity of obtained Ni–W coatings toward HER was examined by polarization curve measurements in 6 M KOH at room temperature. The morphology and tungsten content of the Ni–W coatings were investigated by means of SEM and EDS analysis. All investigated electrodes have shown high electrocatalytic activity for the HER. The samples obtained at higher deposition current densities had the lowest overvoltage for the HER. It has been shown that the plating bath pH value is very important parameter in obtaining active coatings. Results of the analysis of polarization curves, morphology of deposited Ni–W coatings and the content of tungsten in the coatings, indicate that the surface roughness of the coatings is responsible for their catalytic activity towards HER. 相似文献

Low‐temperature synthesis of fluorapatite/fluorohydroxyapatite with precursor mixture previously mechanochemically treated is described in this article. Ethylene vinylacetate/versatate copolymer as a surface active substance was mechanically treated to obtain a core‐shell system with strongly controlled grain size. Despite usual behavior of mechanically activated systems, only an amorphous phase formed from precursor ions present in the mixture composed of β‐Ca2P2O7, CaCO3, CaF2, and unreacted Ca(OH)2 was obtained during milling for 5 min to 8 h. The mixture contained depots of labile F? ions conserved in micelles cages, which are useful for teeth protection from carries. For transformation of these amorphous phases into fluorapatite, an additional low thermal treatment was necessary. The mechanism of the precursor mixture transformation into fluorapatite during milling and thermal treatment was investigated using FTIR spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction. In the last 8 years, a number of data on selenium (Se) content and distribution in the soil of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) became available. The Se content of the soil in Yugoslavia varies in a broad range 39 to 440 microg/kg (mean value 230 microg/kg; n = 284). The soil clay fraction is rich in Se (range 146 to 586 microg/kg) in relation to sand and silt fractions. The available Se content (after extraction with ammonium acetate and EDTA) varies in the range of 1.2 to 28.2% of the total Se content. The speciation of Se is shown for the soils derived from volcanic rocks in Serbia. In addition, the influence of some soil properties on the Se content, as well as its content in the rocks, sediment, and wild plants in Yugoslavia, is discussed. The geographical distribution of Se in the soil of Yugoslavia shows that it is found in inadequate amounts in many agricultural regions. Its low content in soil has been thought to be associated with a higher incidence of some diseases. The Se content of the soil in Yugoslavia is not fully known. There is a great need to make a systematic geochemical mapping for Se and other trace elements in the soil. 相似文献
