There are many numerical algorithms to find the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the generalized eigenvalue problem. These eigenvalues are used in the dynamic analysis of model structures. Most of the time the stiffness and mass matrices arising from the model structures are sparse and difficult to fit into the main memory of a medium size computer. An algorithm is developed to take care of the storage problem and compute as many eigenvalues as necessary to analyse the model structures. Results are compared with the simultaneous iteration method.  相似文献

Perineal war wounds involve the anterior perineum or urogenital perineum and posterior perineum or ano-sphincteric perineum. They are rare in civilian practice and in war practice, as only a small and hidden surface of this anatomical region is exposed to damaging agents. An isolated wound of the perineum is rarely life-threatening, but always threatens the functional prognosis of these patients, who have a mean age less than 30 years. In war practice, these wounds are often associated with lesions of adjacent of sacral, buttock or abdomino-pelvic regions. This article is confined to perineal war wounds in men. Lesions of the urethra and anus and rectum, as well as lesions of the genital appendages and pelvic nerves, leave micturating, gastrointestinal and sexual sequelae, which are sometimes permanent. These sequelae must not be exacerbated during investigation and surgical repair, despite the unfavourable emergency context, associated lesions and the time required to repair them. The basic principles of surgical treatment remain urinary diversion by a large cystostomy tube for urogenital lesions, faecal diversion by terminal colostomy for ano-sphincteric lesions, conservative debridement of the margins of the anal or urethral wound, debridement and drainage of contaminated soft tissues and connective tissue spaces. First-line immediate suture of the urethra or edges of the anal wound must be considered according to the defect, and the septic and haemorrhagic context. When ideal repair cannot be performed, alignment over an urethral catheter, urethrostomy, fixation-identification of the urethral or anal extremities constitute intermediate procedures allowing secondary urological and proctological specialized procedures in these patients.  相似文献

This paper provides two types of control relevant models of planer solid oxide fuel cell system with different details. Dynamic models of system components which include heat exchanger, reformer and after-burner are also provided along with the necessary formulation of a fuel cell connected in parallel with a capacitor. Steady-state and dynamic simulations of fuel cell system for both types of models are performed. The results indicate that both models are comparable in predicting stack voltage at lower current load. But, the discrepancy in the stack voltage, power and temperature of different components become more prominent at higher current load.  相似文献

An uncooled mid-wave infrared (MWIR) detector is developed by doping an n-type 4H-SiC with Ga using a laser doping technique. 4H-SiC is one of the polytypes of crystalline silicon carbide and a wide bandgap semiconductor. The dopant creates an energy level of 0.30 eV, which was confirmed by optical spectroscopy of the doped sample. This energy level corresponds to the MWIR wavelength of 4.21 μm. The detection mechanism is based on the photoexcitation of electrons by the photons of this wavelength absorbed in the semiconductor. This process modifies the electron density, which changes the refractive index, and, therefore, the reflectance of the semiconductor is also changed. The change in the reflectance, which is the optical response of the detector, can be measured remotely with a laser beam, such as a He-Ne laser. This capability of measuring the detector response remotely makes it a wireless detector. The variation of refractive index was calculated as a function of absorbed irradiance based on the reflectance data for the as-received and doped samples. A distinct change was observed for the refractive index of the doped sample, indicating that the detector is suitable for applications at the 4.21 μm wavelength.  相似文献

We report two siblings, an 11-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister, referred to us with a diagnosis of muscular dystrophy. The boy presented at 22 months with delay in walking. A very high serum creatine kinase (CK) level and a dystrophic muscle biopsy lead to a diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy prior to the identification of the dystrophin gene. Two years later his sister presented with similar problems. A diagnosis of limb-girdle muscular dystrophy was made when they were shown to have inherited different X-chromosomes and normal expression of dystrophin and all sarcoglycans. Their conditions remained static. Recently a slowing of the peripheral motor nerve conduction velocities and T2-weighted brain magnetic resonance imaging showed increased signal of the white matter, both of which are features of merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy. Immunolabelling using a C-terminal laminin alpha 2 chain antibody showed a reduction in expression, while labelling with another antibody that recognises a 300-kDa fragment showed a very significant reduction. Mutational analysis of the LAMA2 gene showed two mutations: one was a G-->C point mutation at position -1 of intron 28 acceptor splicing site. This mutation induced activation of a cryptic splice at nucleotide 4429 of exon 29 and partial skipping of this exon, with conservation of the open reading frame. The other was a nonsense mutation due to a C_T transition at position 5525 of the cDNA sequence (exon 37), resulting in a stop codon. These data confirm that mutations of the LAMA2 gene that do not completely disrupt the production of the protein can give rise to phenotypes considerably milder than classical merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy. Partial laminin alpha 2 deficiency should be considered in the differential diagnosis of limb-girdle muscular dystrophy.  相似文献

Mullite-type RMn2O5 (R = Y, rare-earth element) ceramics are of ongoing research attentions because of their interesting crystal-chemical, physical, and thermal properties. We report a detailed structural, spectroscopic and thermal analysis of the series of mullite-type RAlGeO5 (R = Y, Sm-Lu) phases. Polycrystalline samples are prepared by solid-state synthesis methods. Each sample is characterized by X-ray powder diffraction followed by Rietveld refinements, showing that they are isotypic and crystallize in the space group Pbam. The change of the metric parameters is explained in term of the lanthanide contraction effect. A rare inversion of Al/Ge between octahedral and pyramidal sites have been observed for these mullite-type so called O10 compounds, and the inversion parameter found to be between 0.22(1) and 0.30(1) for different R-cations. The <Al/Ge–O> bond distances and their bond valence sums (BVSs) support the respective inversions. Density functional theory (DFT) calculated phonon density of states (PDOS) and electronic band structures are compared for the vibrational and electronic band gap features respectively. Analysis of UV/Vis absorption spectra using both derivation of absorption spectra fitting (DASF) and Tauc's methods demonstrates that each of the RAlGeO5 O10 compounds is high bandgap semiconductor, possessing direct transition between 4.1(1) and 5.4(1) eV. Both Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra show clear red shift (quasi-harmonic) of the vibrational wavenumbers with respect to the ionic radii of the R-cations. Selective Raman bands at higher wavenumber region further complement the inversion of Al/Ge between two coordination sites. The higher decomposition temperature of the RAlGeO5 compounds, compared to those of RMn2O5 phases, is explained in terms of higher bond strength of Al/Ge-O than those of Mn-O. Irrespective to the inversion between Al- and Ge-sites, the decomposition temperature also depends on the type of R-cation in RAlGeO5.  相似文献

Recent convergence of the 3D printing of tissue‐like bioinks and regenerative medicine offers promise in the high‐throughput engineering of in vitro tissue models and organoids for drug screening and discovery research, and of potentially implantable neo‐tissues with tailored structural, biological, and mechanical properties. However, the current printing approaches are not compatible with collagen, the native scaffolding material. Herein, a unique biofabrication approach that uses automated gel aspiration‐ejection (GAE) is reported to potentially overcome these challenges. Automated‐GAE generates highly defined, aligned, dense collagen gel bioinks of various geometries (i.e., cylindrical, quadrangular, and tubular), dimensions, as well as tunable microstructural and mechanical properties that modulate seeded cellular responses. By densifying initial naturally derived reconstituted collagen hydrogels incorporating cells, automated‐GAE generates mini‐tissue building blocks with tailored protein fibril density and alignment, as well as cell loading, density and orientation according to the intended use. Surprisingly, a simple mathematical relationship defining the bioink compaction factor is found to be highly effective in predicting the initial and temporal properties of the bioinks in culture. Therefore, automated‐GAE will potentially also enable a fourth dimension to biofabrication, where cell–cell communications and cell‐extracellular matrix interactions as a function of time in culture can be predicted and modeled.  相似文献

The evolution of metric parameters of 2:1 and 3:2 mullites have been measured between 4 K and 1320 K using neutron and X‐ray powder diffraction. Negative thermal expansion was observed at low temperature for the a‐cell parameter and consequently for the cell‐volume, which is more pronounced for 2:1 mullite than those for 3:2 mullite. Each parameter is simulated using Grüneisen first‐order approximation for the zero pressure equation of state at 0 K, where the vibrational energy was calculated using microscopic approach. While the b‐ and c‐cell parameters require only one Debye term, a second Debye spectrum with negative Grüneisen parameter was required to fit the a‐cell parameter as well as the cell volume. At 4 K, 300 K and 1320 K the model, respectively, calculates the volume thermal expansion coefficients of 0.09x10?6 K?1, 9x10?6 K?1, and 17.3x10?6 K?1 for 2:1 mullite, and 0.09x10?6 K?1, 8.7x10?6 K?1, and 17.3x10?6 K?1 for 3:2 mullite. Temperature‐dependent Raman spectra and phonon density of states hint for the possible microscopic sources of the cell contraction at low temperature. A simple polynomial approach is presented to calculate the elastic stiffness coefficients of the 3:2 mullite, which are not available from experiments.  相似文献

A ZnO/Zn1?x Mg x O-based quantum cascade laser (QCL) is proposed as a candidate for generation of THz radiation at room temperature. The structural and material properties, field dependence of the THz lasing frequency, and generated power are reported for a resonant phonon ZnO/Zn0.95Mg0.05O QCL emitting at 5.27 THz. The theoretical results are compared with those from GaN/Al x Ga1?x N QCLs of similar geometry. Higher calculated optical output powers [ $ {P}_{\rm{ZnMgO}} $  = 2.89 mW (nonpolar) at 5.27 THz and 2.75 mW (polar) at 4.93 THz] are obtained with the ZnO/Zn0.95Mg0.05O structure as compared with GaN/Al0.05Ga0.95N QCLs [ $ {P}_{\rm{AlGaN}} $  = 2.37 mW (nonpolar) at 4.67 THz and 2.29 mW (polar) at 4.52 THz]. Furthermore, a higher wall-plug efficiency (WPE) is obtained for ZnO/ZnMgO QCLs [24.61% (nonpolar) and 23.12% (polar)] when compared with GaN/AlGaN structures [14.11% (nonpolar) and 13.87% (polar)]. These results show that ZnO/ZnMgO material is optimally suited for THz QCLs.  相似文献

Summary We studied the effect of adding ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) to blends of high (HDPE) and low (LDPE) density polyethylene. The extrusion torque of the blend without EPDM shows a deviation from the linear addition rule, but blends with rubber follow the addition rule. Two composition regions that are compatible with the torque behavior are present in the Young's modulus and extension at break curves. The EPDM content improves the extension at break of LDPE rich blends. This improvement extends to higher compositions of HDPE as the EPDM content is increased.
