A serious problem in motion control is the occurrence of torque ripple. Since a direct drive (DD) motor with a magnet rotor uses a rare-earth magnet, the torque ripple is more serious than that of conventional servomotors. This paper presents an auto-compensation of torque ripple using a software-implemented torque observer. The frequency and amplitude of torque ripple can be obtained in the controller by using the estimated torque from an observer, and the autonomous generation of a compensating current component for a torque ripple is possible. In order to produce highly concentrated bioethanol by pervaporation using an ethanol‐permselective silicalite membrane, techniques to suppress adsorption of succinic acid, which is a chief by‐product of ethanol fermentation and causes the deterioration in pervaporation performance, onto the silicalite crystals was investigated. The amount adsorbed increased as the pH of the aqueous succinic acid solution decreased. The pervaporation performance also decreased with decreasing pH when the ternary mixtures of ethanol/water/succinic acid were separated. Using silicalite membranes individually coated with two types of silicone rubber, pervaporation performance was significantly improved in the pH range of 5 to 7, when compared with that of non‐coated silicalite membranes in ternary mixtures of ethanol/water/succinic acid. Moreover, when using a silicalite membrane double‐coated with the two types of silicone rubber, pervaporation performance was stabilized at lower pH values. In the separation of bioethanol by pervaporation using the double‐coated silicalite membrane, removal of accumulated substances having an ultraviolet absorption maximum at approximately 260 nm from the fermentation broth proved to be vital for efficient pervaporation. This paper presents a method of predicting the steady‐state performance of a new hybrid‐excitation synchronous machine (HESM) theoretically. The field pole of this HESM is axially divided into two parts; one is an excitation part and the other a permanent‐magnet (PM) part. A nonlinear equivalent circuit, which can include the saliency of the rotor and the magnetic saturation due to the iron core, is derived. We investigated optical pumping of nuclear spin polarizations in a single self-assembled In0.75Al0.25As/Al0.3Ga0.7As quantum dot. The nuclear spin polarization exhibits the abrupt jump and hysteresis in the excitation power dependence at
a particular excitation polarization. Measurement of circular polarization rate of the photoluminescence reveals that the
abrupt change of the nuclear spin polarization is created mainly by the spin flip-flop process between nuclei and an electron
of a positive charged exciton in this single quantum dot. Model calculation explains well the experimentally observed bistable
behavior in InAlAs quantum dot. By using this abrupt change, the sign and magnitude of electron and hole g-factors in z-direction are verified.

Electrical resistance, thermal expansion, lattice constants of the intermediate valence materials, α-Ce and CeBe13, were measured at high pressure. It is found that the Grttneisen parameters of Kondo temperature TK are 13 and 42 for α-Ce and CeBe13, respectively, and it decreases with increasing pressure. The magnetoresistance of α-Ce shows H^2 dependence and its coefficient increases with pressure below 1 GPa, but becomes nearly constant above 1 GPa. The results indicate that the intermediate valence states are enhanced at high pressure indicating the enhancement of hybridization between the 4f electron and conduction band. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Proliferative activities of tumors are thought to be prognostic features of malignant tumors, but their value as measured by proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) labeling remains unclear in gastric cancer. METHODS: PCNA labeling rates (LR) were quantified in 121 paraffin-embedded biopsy specimens from primary tumors by immunocytochemistry. RESULTS: Immunohistochemical analyses have demonstrated that PCNA presents an intense staining in the nuclei of tumor cells and mucous neck cells of gastric glands. The PCNA LR ranged from 12% to 79% (mean +/- standard deviation), and a significant correlation was found between bromodeoxyuridine labeling indices and PCNA LR: PCNA LR were closely associated with tumor size, serosal invasion, and nodal involvement. The patients with tumors with high PCNA LR (greater than 40%) were dead significantly earlier than were those with tumors with low PCNA LR: When the PCNA LR and all the clinicopathologic parameters were entered into a Cox regression model, PCNA LR emerged as an independent prognostic factor. CONCLUSION: These results indicate that PCNA LR may be a potentially useful prognostic factor for gastric cancer. 相似文献

We investigated the effect of lead nitrate (0.5, 1.0, 2.0 or 5.0 microM) on the proliferation of cultured bovine aortic endothelial cells. After exposure to lead, the number of cells and the incorporation of [3H]thymidine into the acid-insoluble fraction of the cells were reduced in parallel in a concentration-dependent manner. Histologically, lead treatment resulted in a decrease in the cell number accompanied by a change in the cell shape from polygonal to spindle; however, no degenerative change was observed except in 5.0 microM lead-treated cells. Furthermore, stimulation of [3H]thymidine incorporation by either basic or acidic fibroblast growth factor was significantly reduced by lead. However, the leakage of lactate dehydrogenase into the medium from the cells, a marker of nonspecific cell damage, was not changed by lead. From these results, it was revealed that lead inhibits the proliferation of cultured vascular endothelial cells without nonspecific cell damage. Although lead does not destroy the monolayer of endothelial cells, the metal may exhibit its noxious effect in the repair process of the vascular endothelium. 相似文献

The effect of mixing time on hardness, disintegration time and ejection force in tablettlng of magnesium stearate and lactose granules was studied. The hardness of the tablets decreased with an increase in mixing time of the blends, as previously reported. A semilogarithmic plot of the hardness versus mixing time gave a straight line having a turning point. At the early phase of mixing the hardness was decreasing with a large first-order rate and then continued to decrease with another small first-order rate. The change in disintegration time or ejection force versus mixing time was basically the same as that in the hardness. This type of plot was applicable to the mixing magnesium stearate with not only granular but also powdered materials. 相似文献

We studied the rates of gelation and phase separation of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) solutions in mixtures of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and water at 25 °C and found that both the rates show a maximum at a volume fraction of DMSO φDMSO=0.60 while gelation was not observed either in pure DMSO or pure water, suggesting that water-DMSO is a cononsolvent system for PVA. On the basis of the data by Cowie [Can J Chem 36 (1961) 2240] we concluded that the 1:2 stable complex between one DMSO molecule and two water molecules is the main cause of this cononsolvency. 相似文献
