An ant algorithm for balanced job scheduling in grids   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
Grid computing utilizes the distributed heterogeneous resources in order to support complicated computing problems. Grid can be classified into two types: computing grid and data grid. Job scheduling in computing grid is a very important problem. To utilize grids efficiently, we need a good job scheduling algorithm to assign jobs to resources in grids.In the natural environment, the ants have a tremendous ability to team up to find an optimal path to food resources. An ant algorithm simulates the behavior of ants. In this paper, we propose a Balanced Ant Colony Optimization (BACO) algorithm for job scheduling in the Grid environment. The main contributions of our work are to balance the entire system load while trying to minimize the makespan of a given set of jobs. Compared with the other job scheduling algorithms, BACO can outperform them according to the experimental results.  相似文献

The main theme of this paper is to demonstrate the applications of the newly developed common-mode voltage reduction pulsewidth-modulation (PWM) technique, which restricts the common-mode voltage to one-third of DC-link voltage, to vector-controlled induction motor drives. As compared to previous common-mode voltage reduction techniques, the presented technique can be applied to the inverter with diode front end and has no adverse effect on the linear modulation range. Therefore, vector-controlled drives using the developed technique for inverter control have a wide speed range. Moreover, the effects of the common-mode voltage reduction PWM technique on speed response for vector-controlled induction motor drives will be fully investigated in this paper. It will be demonstrated by intensive experimental results that speed performance does not deteriorate significantly within the rated speed range.  相似文献

With selectively-deposited tungsten film grown on source/drain regions, the parasitic source/drain resistance of thin-channel polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) thin film transistors can be greatly reduced, leading to the improvement of device driving ability. After extracting the parasitic resistance from characteristics of devices with different channel length, the influences of parasitic resistance on device performances were discussed. A physically-based equation containing the parasitic resistance effects was derived to explain the behavior of linear transconductance under high gate voltage. Good agreements were found between calculated and measured data for both the thin-channel devices with or without tungsten-clad source/drain structure.  相似文献

A high performance inverted green emission organic light emitting diode with a maximum external quantum efficiency of 20% and a maximum power efficiency of 80 lm/W was realized by properly selecting an electron transporting material to have no energy barrier for electron injection between the n-doped electron transporting layer (n-ETL) and the ETL. Based on the energy levels and the current density–voltage characteristics of electron only devices, we demonstrate that the interface between an n-ETL and an ETL even in homo-junction is as important as the interface between the cathode and the n-ETL for efficient electron injection into an emitting layer.  相似文献

A significant improvement in the stability of high-quality GaN films, for photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation, has been demonstrated using near neutral NaCl(aq) electrolyte instead of conventional acidic HCl(aq). The experimental results conclude that the as-grown surface oxide passivates the surface from corrosion and, therefore, leads to a higher photocurrent. Our result paves the way for the future development of stable hydrogen generation with abundant sea water and high-efficiency III–V compound semiconductors.  相似文献

If ubiquitous learning (u-learning) is to be effectively developed and feasibly applied to education, it is necessary to evaluate its effectiveness. Yet to achieve a sound evaluation, a particular paradigm must be employed to fit the problem domain. Toward this end, the authors of this study have adopted a meaningful learning paradigm. Meaningful learning is often regarded as the ultimate learning status for a learner, regardless of the learning environment. Interestingly, several characteristics of u-learning are also linked to attributes of meaningful learning. For example, both u-learning and meaningful learning emphasize the authentic and active of the learning activity. Therefore, it is important to investigate the applicability of a meaningful learning paradigm for evaluating the efficacy of u-learning. The method proposed here evaluates u-learning along both macro and micro aspects, and in an effort to make u-learning more sustainable. By employing a case study, we demonstrate the feasibility of our approach by showing the advantages and disadvantages that are common to both u-learning and meaningful learning. Moreover, we also provide suggestions for instructors and designers so that they can promote the quality of u-learning.  相似文献

介绍IPS液晶显示技术的发展史、现况及对未来发展趋势的展望。在IPS技术克服了视角依存的显示基本需求特性,近来在动画质量与色彩再现稳定性方面亦大幅提升。现阶段开发重点则是着重于面板制造低成本、高生产良率和高对比特性,使其能与其它液晶电视技术匹敌。因此,我们成功开发了最具竞争力的新IPS模态,取名为AS-NOOC。与AS-IPS相比较,AS-NOOC具有省去一道Array基板侧的厚有机层制程的低制造成本优势,可大幅提高良率。并利用在彩色滤光片侧导入最佳化电极来同时优化面板亮、暗态的光学特性,有效提高对比度。  相似文献

To enhance the applications of smart cards, Miyazaki and Takaragi recently proposed a (t,n) threshold digital signature scheme based on the security of elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem (ECDLP). The advantages of their scheme are low communication bandwidth and computational complexity, which provides critical benefits for the use of smart cards in the distributed environments. Unfortunately, this paper will show that their scheme cannot withstand the forgery attack, which violates their security claim.
