Fused filament fabrication (FFF) has been widely used to develop prototypes as well as functional parts owing to its capability for creating parts with complex geometries in a short time without the specific requirement of tooling. The mechanical properties of parts produced by FFF exhibit 70%-80% of the mechanical properties of parts produced by injection molding. The mechanical properties of FFF-produced parts are primarily dependent on the selection of various process variables. The mechanical properties of the part can be enhanced through the proper selection of process variables. In the present experimental investigation, the effects of the process variables, viz. raster angle, layer height, and raster width on the flexural properties of FFF-printed polylactic acid (PLA) is studied. The result shows that flexural strength is primarily influenced by layer height followed by raster angle. The sample printed with 100-μm layer height and 0° raster angle exhibits a higher tensile strength. Further, the microscopic examination of the deformed specimen is performed to understand the mode of failure. In this paper, we consider a two-player stochastic differential game problem over an infinite time horizon where the players invoke controller and stopper strategies on a nonlinear stochastic differential game problem driven by Brownian motion. The optimal strategies for the two players are given explicitly by exploiting connections between stochastic Lyapunov stability theory and stochastic Hamilton–Jacobi–Isaacs theory. In particular, we show that asymptotic stability in probability of the differential game problem is guaranteed by means of a Lyapunov function which can clearly be seen to be the solution to the steady-state form of the stochastic Hamilton–Jacobi–Isaacs equation, and hence, guaranteeing both stochastic stability and optimality of the closed-loop control and stopper policies. In addition, we develop optimal feedback controller and stopper policies for affine nonlinear systems using an inverse optimality framework tailored to the stochastic differential game problem. These results are then used to provide extensions of the linear feedback controller and stopper policies obtained in the literature to nonlinear feedback controllers and stoppers that minimise and maximise general polynomial and multilinear performance criteria.  相似文献

The availability of the humongous amount of multimodal content on the internet, the multimodal sentiment classification, and emotion detection has become the most researched topic. The feature selection, context extraction, and multi-modal fusion are the most important challenges in multimodal sentiment classification and affective computing. To address these challenges this paper presents multilevel feature optimization and multimodal contextual fusion technique. The evolutionary computing based feature selection models extract a subset of features from multiple modalities. The contextual information between the neighboring utterances is extracted using bidirectional long-short-term-memory at multiple levels. Initially, bimodal fusion is performed by fusing a combination of two unimodal modalities at a time and finally, trimodal fusion is performed by fusing all three modalities. The result of the proposed method is demonstrated using two publically available datasets such as CMU-MOSI for sentiment classification and IEMOCAP for affective computing. Incorporating a subset of features and contextual information, the proposed model obtains better classification accuracy than the two standard baselines by over 3% and 6% in sentiment and emotion classification, respectively.  相似文献

Three sites of N(G),N(G)-arginine methylation have been located at residues 205, 217, and 224 in the glycine-rich, COOH-terminal one-third of the HeLa A1 heterogeneous ribonucleoprotein. Together with the previously determined dimethylated arginine at position 193 [Williams et al., (1985) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 82, 5666-5670], it is evident that all four sites fall within a span of sequence between residues 190 and 233 that contains multiple Arg-Gly-(Gly) sequences interspersed with phenylalanine residues. These RGG boxes have been postulated to represent an RNA binding motif [Kiledjian and Dreyfuss (1992) EMBO J. 11, 2655-2664]. Dimethylation of HeLa A1 appears to be quantitative at each of the four positions. Arginines 205 and 224 have been methylated in vitro by a nuclear protein arginine methyltransferase using recombinant (unmethylated) A1 as substrate. This suggests A1 may be an in vivo substrate for this enzyme. Examination of sequences surrounding the sites of methylation in A1 along with a compilation from the literature of sites that have been identified in other nuclear RNA binding proteins suggests a methylase-preferred recognition sequence of Phe/Gly-Gly-Gly-Arg-Gly-Gly-Gly/Phe, with the COOH-terminal flanking glycine being obligatory. Taken together with data in the literature, identification of the sites of A1 arginine methylation strongly suggests a role for this modification in modulating the interaction of A1 with nucleic acids.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a unified framework to address the problem of optimal nonlinear analysis and feedback control for nonlinear stochastic dynamical systems. Specifically, we provide a simplified and tutorial framework for stochastic optimal control and focus on connections between stochastic Lyapunov theory and stochastic Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman theory. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a leading cause of vision loss. Elevated homocysteine (Hcy) (Hyperhomocysteinemia) (HHcy) has been reported in AMD. We previously reported that HHcy induces AMD-like features. This study suggests that N-Methyl-d-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) activation in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) is a mechanism for HHcy-induced AMD. Serum Hcy and cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS) were assessed by ELISA. The involvement of NMDAR in Hcy-induced AMD features was evaluated (1) in vitro using ARPE-19 cells, primary RPE isolated from HHcy mice (CBS), and mouse choroidal endothelial cells (MCEC); (2) in vivo using wild-type mice and mice deficient in RPE NMDAR (NMDARR−/−) with/without Hcy injection. Isolectin-B4, Ki67, HIF-1α, VEGF, NMDAR1, and albumin were assessed by immunofluorescence (IF), Western blot (WB), Optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fluorescein angiography (FA) to evaluate retinal structure, fluorescein leakage, and choroidal neovascularization (CNV). A neovascular AMD patient’s serum showed a significant increase in Hcy and a decrease in CBS. Hcy significantly increased HIF-1α, VEGF, and NMDAR in RPE cells, and Ki67 in MCEC. Hcy-injected WT mice showed disrupted retina and CNV. Knocking down RPE NMDAR improved retinal structure and CNV. Our findings underscore the role of RPE NMDAR in Hcy-induced AMD features; thus, NMDAR inhibition could serve as a promising therapeutic target for AMD.  相似文献

Nonnegative and compartmental dynamical system models are derived from mass and energy balance considerations that involve dynamic states whose values are nonnegative. These models are widespread in engineering and life sciences and typically involve the exchange of nonnegative quantities between subsystems or compartments wherein each compartment is assumed to be kinetically homogeneous. However, in many engineering and life science systems, transfers between compartments are not instantaneous and realistic models for capturing the dynamics of such systems should account for material in transit between compartments. Including some information of past system states in the system model leads to infinite-dimensional delay nonnegative dynamical systems. In this note, we develop dissipativity theory for nonnegative dynamical systems with time delay using linear storage functionals with linear supply rates. These results are then used to develop general stability criteria for feedback interconnections of nonnegative dynamical systems with time delay.  相似文献
