A simple and efficient new method for QRS detection in Electrocardiogram (ECG) is proposed in this paper. Initially data is preprocessed using two stage median filter for removing baseline drift. The second stage enhances the peaks of ECG wave components by using sixth power of signal. The next stage identifies the QRS complex by taking a variable window size. The detection sensitivity (Se) and positive predictivity (+P) of CSE (Common Standards for Quantitative Electrocardiography) measurement database, MIT/BIH (Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Beth Israel Hospital) Arrhythmia database, European ST-T database and QT database are Se 99.51 & +P 99.69%, Se 99.21 & +P 99.34%, Se 99.53 & +P 99.72% and Se 99.87 & +P 99.95% respectively. These four standard databases used to perform QRS detection considered 368 cases, tested 1,006,168 beats and achieved overall average sensitivity 99.52% and positive predictivity 99.69%. The MIT/BIH Noise Stress Test Database also tested by proposed method.  相似文献

The dielectric properties of dense ceramics of the "twinned" 8H-hexagonal perovskite Ba8Nb4Ti3O24 are reported. Single-phase powders were obtained from the mixed-oxide route at 1325°C and ceramics (>92% of the theoretical X-ray density) by sintering in air or flowing O2 at 1400°–1450°C. The ceramics are dc insulators with a band gap >3.4 eV that resonate at microwave frequencies with relative permittivity, ɛr∼44–48, quality factor, Q × f r∼21 000–23 500 GHz (at f r∼5.5 GHz) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency, TC f,∼+115 ppm/K.  相似文献

We present a pulsed-magnet system that enables x-ray single-crystal diffraction in addition to powder and spectroscopic studies with the magnetic field applied on or close to the scattering plane. The apparatus consists of a single large-bore solenoid, cooled by liquid nitrogen. A second independent closed-cycle cryostat is used for cooling samples near liquid helium temperatures. Pulsed magnetic fields close to ~30 T with a zero-to-peak-field rise time of ~2.9 ms are generated by discharging a 40 kJ capacitor bank into the magnet coil. The unique characteristic of this instrument is the preservation of maximum scattering angle (~23.6°) on the entrance and exit sides of the magnet bore by virtue of a novel double-funnel insert. This instrument will facilitate x-ray diffraction and spectroscopic studies that are impractical, if not impossible, to perform using split-pair and narrow-opening solenoid magnets. Furthermore, it offers a practical solution for preserving optical access in future higher-field pulsed magnets.  相似文献

Here we describe the fabrication of the largest (233 cm2 total area) organic photovoltaic (OPV) module (polymer:fullerene) to be certified by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). OPV solar cells were fabricated at Plextronics by spin coating a blend of poly 3-hexylthiophene-2,5 diyl (P3HT) and [6,6] phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) on top of our hole transport layer (HTL), Plexcore® OC. In laboratory-scale devices (0.09 cm2), this system routinely exhibits power conversion efficiencies exceeding 3.7%. This P3HT:PCBM active layer and HTL ink system was used to scale up to the larger area module (15.2 cm×15.2 cm module size, i.e. 233 cm2 total area; 108 cm2 active area), which was certified by NREL as having 1.1% total area efficiency (3.4% active area efficiency).  相似文献

A wavelength-independent method for optical gating, based on the optical Kerr effect, has been demonstrated. Using this method, we produced 100-ps, 10-kW, two-wavelength pulses (10.3 and 10.6 microm) with a signal-to-background ratio contrast of 10(5) by slicing a long CO2 pulse. The capability of gating consecutive pulses separated on a picosecond time scale with this method is also shown.  相似文献

This paper investigates the performance of medium access control (MAC) protocols in a wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) based optical access network consisting of a backbone ring interconnecting several passive-star-based clusters of optical networking units (ONUs) at customer premises. Each cluster is connected to the backbone through an access node (AN). A scheduler located in each AN, executes two MAC protocols, one for the intracluster traffic and the other for the intercluster traffic. In order to maintain the quality of service, the scheduler in the AN employs, priority-based queuing for the intercluster traffic on pre-assigned wavelengths. For controlling the intracluster traffic, the scheduler employs pre-transmission coordination with ranging and look-ahead functionalities in the MAC protocol. The performance of MAC protocol for intracluster traffic is evaluated through event-driven simulation, while for intercluster traffic the MAC performance is evaluated through analytical modeling of the queuing system employing two dynamic bandwidth management schemes. Performance of the intracluster MAC protocol is shown to be improved by novel use of subcarrier multiplexing on the wavelength used for the control packet transmission. A comparative study of the two intercluster schemes in terms of end-to-end delay is carried out, to understand the effect of priority queuing on the real-time and non-real-time service packets.  相似文献

This article provides insights pertaining to the first-order phase transformation involved in the growth of densely packed Q-carbon and nanodiamonds by nanosecond laser melting and quenching of diamond-like carbon (DLC) thin films. DLC films with different sp3 content were melted rapidly in a controlled way in super-undercooled state and quenched, leading to formation of distinct nanostructures, i.e., nanodiamonds, Q-carbon, and Q-carbon nanocomposites. This analysis provides direct evidence of the dependence of the super-undercooling on the structural evolution of Q-carbon. Finite element heat flow calculations showed that the super-undercooling varies monotonically with the sp3 content. The phenomenon of solid–liquid interfacial instability during directional solidification from the melt state is studied in detail. The resulting lateral segregation leads to formation of cellular filamentary Q-carbon nanostructures. The dependence of the cell size and wavelength at the onset of instability on the sp3 content of DLC thin films was modeled based on perturbation theory.  相似文献

A series of novel polyurethanes (PUs) with carbohydrate crosslinkers was synthesized. The drug loading and release kinetics were studied by using lamotrigine as a model drug. The polymers were designed in such a way that the drug release was tailored by differences in the stoichiometry of polymers. All the PUs were characterized for thermal and morphological properties by using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscope , respectively. The encapsulation of drug inside PU matrix was confirmed via Fourier transform ‐ infrared (FT‐IR) spectra and scanning electron microscope . The kinetics and release mechanisms were observed to be a function of stoichiometric parameters such as type of crosslinker, polyol/crosslinker ratio and polyol/chain extender ratio. All the PUs were observed to be non‐cytotoxic in normal lung cell line L132. The synthesized PUs exhibited good mechanical strength, tunable release rates and biocompatibility that can be utilized in biomedical applications like wound dressing, biomedical implants , and drug delivery carriers. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
