Doped carbon nanostructures as non-precious metal (NPM) catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in acid medium are mainly synthesized using 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis (4-methoxyphenyl)-porphyrin-Fe (III) chloride (Fe-TMPP) as doping and carbon sources. In this study, the doped carbon nanostructures used as cathode NPM catalysts for ORR are prepared using a mixture of iron phthalocyanine (FePc) and arginine as doping and carbon sources. The morphology and composition of the as-prepared samples are characterized using field-emission scanning electron microscopy, field-emission transmission electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. The crystal and pore structures are analyzed using X-ray diffraction method, Raman spectroscopy, and nitrogen adsorption/desorption method. The sample prepared using a precursor mixture with a proper ratio of FePc and arginine exhibits significantly superior ORR performance, i.e. high specific activity, enhanced half-wave potential, and improved stability in an acid medium, as even compared to a commercial Pt/C. The improved ORR properties is mainly attributed to high portion of pyridinic N state with a relatively high specific surface area, which can result from the FePc precursor surrounded by the fused arginine.  相似文献

In recent years, various studies on OpenStack-based high-performance computing have been conducted. OpenStack combines off-the-shelf physical computing devices and creates a resource pool of logical computing. The configuration of the logical computing resource pool provides computing infrastructure according to the user’s request and can be applied to the infrastructure as a service (laaS), which is a cloud computing service model. The OpenStack-based cloud computing can provide various computing services for users using a virtual machine (VM). However, intensive computing service requests from a large number of users during large-scale computing jobs may delay the job execution. Moreover, idle VM resources may occur and computing resources are wasted if users do not employ the cloud computing resources. To resolve the computing job delay and waste of computing resources, a variety of studies are required including computing task allocation, job scheduling, utilization of idle VM resource, and improvements in overall job’s execution speed according to the increase in computing service requests. Thus, this paper proposes an efficient job management of computing service (EJM-CS) by which idle VM resources are utilized in OpenStack and user’s computing services are processed in a distributed manner. EJM-CS logically integrates idle VM resources, which have different performances, for computing services. EJM-CS improves resource wastes by utilizing idle VM resources. EJM-CS takes multiple computing services rather than single computing service into consideration. EJM-CS determines the job execution order considering workloads and waiting time according to job priority of computing service requester and computing service type, thereby providing improved performance of overall job execution when computing service requests increase.

The widespread of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is of great concern in clinical settings worldwide. It is urgent to develop new therapeutic agents against this pathogen. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic potentials of compound 62520, which has been previously identified as an inhibitor of the ompA promoter activity of A. baumannii, against CRAB isolates, both in vitro and in vivo. Compound 62520 was found to inhibit the ompA expression and biofilm formation in A. baumannii ATCC 17978 at sub-inhibitory concentrations in a dose-dependent manner. These inhibitory properties were also observed in clinical CRAB isolates belonging to sequence type (ST) 191. Additionally, compound 62520 exhibited a bacteriostatic activity against clinical clonal complex (CC) 208 CRAB isolates, including ST191, and ESKAPE pathogens. This bacteriostatic activity was not different between STs of CRAB isolates. Bacterial clearance was observed in mice infected with bioimaging A. baumannii strain 24 h after treatment with compound 62520. Compound 62520 was shown to significantly increase the survival rates of both immunocompetent and neutropenic mice infected with A. baumannii ATCC 17978. This compound also increased the survival rates of mice infected with clinical CRAB isolate. These results suggest that compound 62520 is a promising scaffold to develop a novel therapeutic agent against CRAB infections.  相似文献

For the development of lithium ion recovery process from seawater, a series of experimental researches were performed. Solvent extraction of lithium ion from aqueous solution using kerosene as solvent was proposed.Lithium ion is effectively extracted by thenoyltrifluoroacetone–trioctylphosphine oxide(TTA–TOPO) in kerosene within 80 min. Extraction efficiency is severely influenced by stoichiometric parameters. Among the stoichiometric parameters, volume ratio of aqueous(A) to extraction(E) solution is the most influential parameter. After extraction, lithium ion could be easily stripped from the extraction solution by acidic solutions. Stripping efficiency decreases with p H of acidic solutions, and the kind of acid does not affect the stripping efficiency. Extraction efficiency maintains at more than 93 % even when the extraction solution is recycled three times. 65 % of lithium ion can be extracted from seawater by this solvent extraction process when magnesium ion is precipitated by NH4 OH prior to solvent extraction process. Other metallic ions in seawater decrease the extraction efficiency of lithium ion.  相似文献
