We report on the application of silicon micromachining for the fabrication of miniaturized electron gun (MEG) assembly using vertically aligned carbon nanotubes. The proposed MEG consists of two main parts of electron gun and the accelerating column. While the electron gun consists of carbon nanotubes grown on a silicon substrate acting as an electron emission source, the accelerating column is made of micromachined silicon wafers with 5 μm thick membranes operating as objective lenses. These two wafers are placed together and sealed using a three-dimensional packaging technique. The simulation and experimental results show the evolution of a narrow electron beam by applying a proper voltage to the anodes and objective lens. The diverging and focusing of the beam can be controlled by applying the proper voltage on electrostatic lenses. This structure could be suitable for low energy SEM devices and surface physics applications.  相似文献

A wormhole attack is one of the hardest problems to detect whereas it can be easily implanted in any type of wireless ad hoc network. A wormhole attack can easily be launched by the attacker without having knowledge of the network or compromising any legitimate nodes. Most existing solutions either require special hardware devices or make strong assumptions in order to detect wormhole attacks which limit the usability of these solutions. In this paper, we present a security enhancement to dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol against wormhole attacks for ad hoc networks which relies on calculation of round trip time (RTT). Our protocol secures DSR against a wormhole attack in ad hoc networks for multirate transmissions. We also consider the processing and queuing delays of each participating node in the calculation of RTTs between neighbors which to date has not been addressed in the existing literature. This work provides two test cases that show that not taking multirate transmission into consideration results in miss identifying a wormhole attack.  相似文献

There are several approaches to dyeing recipe formulation in the textile industry, because the accuracy of computer recipe prediction is not very high. There are several theories such as colorimetric and spectrophotometeric appraches on color reception. This work addressed the effect of the calibration method as the calculation of unit k/s and spectral overlapping of the components of the mixture on the accuracy of recipe prediction in dyeing nylon with acid dye. To this aim, the unit k/s was calculated using single and binary mixture samples. Two types unit k/s were used for the recipe prediction of ternary mixture dyed samples with low and high overlapping reflectance spectra. The obtained results indicated that the unit k/s of single component differed from the unit k/s of bicomponent mixture. The accuracy of recipe prediction using unit k/s of single component was less than that of the binary mixture. However, the performance of the recipe prediction of high level overlapping was found to be more than that of the low level overlapping mixture. Subsequently, the accuracy of color matching depended on the reflectance spectra similarity (spectral overlapping) of the components of the mixture.  相似文献

This article represents an analytical formulation for optical properties of absorbing metallic nanoparticles in visible region of electromagnetic spectrum based on Mie theory, in order to find a clear relationship between fundamental characteristics of nanoparticles with their spectral behavior and color coordinate in CIELAB color space. Calculations were performed on nanoparticles with various diameters (d = 50, 100, and 200 nm), as well as complex refractive index with different real (n = 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0) and imaginary (k = 0.001 and 0.1) parts. Obtained results reveal that scattering phenomena in nanoparticles are strongly linked to the particle size parameter and complex index of refraction. The results indicate that the reflectance and lightness (L*) of nanoparticles increases as a result of increase in their size and real part of complex refractive index and decrease with increasing the imaginary part of complex refractive index. The CIELAB colorimetric system was used for analysis the color of nanoparticles. According to obtained results, all nanoparticles have greenish‐blue color, and undergo color change as a result of varying in their size and the complex refractive index. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Derivative spectrophotometry is one of the most important techniques that can be used to determine the dye concentration. In addition, principal component analysis (PCA) is a linear method to condense the dimensionality of large numbers of absorbance spectra. In this work, PCA and derivative spectrophotometry techniques are used to improve the accuracy of Beer's law prediction of the concentrations in three‐component dye mixtures. The performance of the new method is compared with the normal Beer's law by calculation absolute error, relative error, and ternary relative error of prediction. As obtained results indicate, the prediction accuracy of dye concentration prediction in PCA‐derivative spectrophotometry method is higher than normal Beer's law method. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc., Col Res Appl, 2010.  相似文献

A novel hydrogenation-assisted deep reactive ion etching of silicon is reported. The process uses sequential hydrogen-assisted passivation and plasma etching at low-density plasma powers to stimulate the vertical removal of the exposed Si substrate. The main feature of this technique is the sequential alternation of the electrodes while switching between different gases. Three-dimensional structures with aspect ratios in excess of 40:1 and features as small as 0.7 mum have been realized. The net etch rate is about 0.25 mum/min, although higher rates are expected to be achievable.  相似文献
