Destabilisation of as-cast chromium white iron with 16 wt-% chromium are performed by continuous destabilisation treatment for 4 h and short duration (0.66 h) cyclic destabilisation treatment at 900, 950, 1000, 1050, and 1100 °C. Continuous destabilisation causes secondary carbides precipitation from austenite which on slow cooling transforms to pearlite matrix. Cyclic destabilisation treatment causes similar precipitation of finer secondary carbides following shorter period austenitisation and a matrix containing martensite and retained austenite on forced-air cooling. After continuous destabilisation, hardness falls below the as-cast value (HV622); whereas it rises to HV950 after cyclic destabilisation treatment. The as-cast notched impact toughness (4.0 J) increases to 8.5 J or more after both continuous and cyclic destabilisation at 1050 and 1100 °C. Abrasive wear resistance after continuous destabilisation improves only at higher wear load (49.0 N), while after cyclic destabilisation it supersedes the as-cast and Ni-Hard IV performance at both low (19.6 N) and high (49.9 N) wear load. 相似文献

ABSTRACTNorway has seen an upsurge of interest in exploiting its mineral deposits during the last decade. One of the major areas of interest is a huge copper deposit, operated by Nussir ASA located in the Repparfjord tectonic window in the Caledonides of west Finnmark. Nussir ASA is evaluating the Nussir and Ulveryggen mineral resources that contain copper sulfides with a small amount of gold and silver bearing minerals. The performance of flotation operations is generally evaluated on the basis of degree of liberation of minerals or the surface interactions between the collector and mineral. Firstly, size-by-size mineralogical characterization of the flotation feed and cumulative final product using Zeiss automated mineralogy techniques (Mineralogic) revealed that mineral liberation heavily influenced the flotation behavior of the ore. Furthermore, in order to assess the role of pH, collector concentration and flotation time, bench scale flotation experiments were performed. The metallurgical results were maximum between pH 6 and 8 and at collector concentration 6 × 10?5 M. A correlation is established using the zeta potential and Hallimond flotation tests to assess the role of operating parameters in flotation. The distinctive role of process mineralogy and flotation chemical influence for copper mineral flotation of Nussir ore is presented in this article. 相似文献

Cu metal matrix composite with Y2W3O12 as a thermal expansion compensator was fabricated by high energy ball milling followed by compaction and sintering, and its thermal properties were explored for the potential applications as heat sinks in electronic industries, high precision optics, and space structures. The volume fraction of reinforcement was varied from 40% to 70% in order to tailor the composite for the simultaneous accomplishment of low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity. The synthesis technique was optimized by varying the parameters like milling time from 1 to 20 h and sintering temperature from 600 to 1000 °C in order to achieve densified composites. The relative density of the composites is found to be around 90% for the 10 h milled powders followed by compaction at a pressure of 700 MPa and sintering at a temperature of 1000 °C. The thermal expansion of the composites exhibits linear behavior in the temperature range 200 to 800 °C and the low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is found to be for Cu–70%Y2W3O12 composite whose value, 4.32±0.75×10−6/°C, matches with that of Si substrate. The thermal conductivities are found to increase with a decrease in the volume fraction of the reinforcement and decrease with an increase in the temperature for all the samples. The experimentally determined CTE and thermal conductivity values are found to be comparable to those predicted by the thermal expansion based Kerner and Turner model and the thermal conductivity based Maxwell model, respectively. 相似文献

A NanoScratch methodology was used to evaluate the relative adhesive and cohesive strength of fluorinated poly(methyl methacrylate-co-methacrylic acid) and fluorinated phosphate coatings on stone and tile surfaces. In general, all coatings showed ability to bind to the stone and tile surfaces, and polymer-based coatings expressed stronger adhesion compared to a small-molecule fluorinated phosphate coating. Also, anionic fluorinated polymers containing methacrylic acid (MAA) residues in the ammonium carboxylate form adhered more strongly compared to corresponding acidic polymer counterparts. In addition, anionic fluorinated polymers, shown to adhere more strongly to granite than marble, possibly due to strong Lewis acid-base interaction between carboxylate and aluminosilicates. Conversely, the fluorinated polymers, bearing the MAA side-chains in their free-acid form, bound more strongly to marble via possible Brønsted acid-base interactions between carboxylic acid and calcium carbonate. Lastly, in most cases, comparable fracture thresholds were observed for the same coating material on different substrates. Cu-SiC nanocomposite coatings have been deposited from an aqueous sulfate electrolyte using the technique of pulse reverse electrodeposition both in the absence and presence of three different types of surfactants, anionic, cationic, or nonionic. The effects of different electrodeposition parameters on some properties of the coatings have been studied. In all cases, it has been observed that the surface roughness, hardness, and resistivity increase with the increase in cathodic current density. However, they have been observed to decrease with the increase in anodic current density and the anodic current time. The variation in the amount of incorporated reinforcement with different deposition parameters has been observed to be dependent on the nature of the surfactant used. In the presence of cationic and nonionic surfactant, a noticeable increase in the amount of incorporated reinforcement and hardness has been observed. Samples prepared under higher anodic current density have been observed to possess lower stress, but intense texture. An increase in cathodic current density has been observed to decrease the extent of texturing. 相似文献
