汉字识别的困难在于大量的笔道通常弯曲成一种曲线形状，并存在着一个数量庞大的字符集。要文提出一种建立在隐形Ｍａｒｋｏｖ模型（ＨＭＭ）基础上，能有效处理这类识别问题的识别模型。该模型是一种部首ＨＭＭ和连字符ＨＭＭ的互联网络。借助于ＨＭＭ的各种特征，该模型能在各种弯曲笔道上很限地工作，并具有良好的可伸缩性。为了解决同大量搜索路径引起的识别速度问题，我们利用互不相关的部首ＨＭＭ和连字符ＨＭＭ的组合，形成了     

Colour and colour stability of hot processed frozen minced beef. Results from chemical model experiments tested under storage conditions

Minced beef based on hot processed meat was found to show an improved red colour and, more significantly, to show a better colour stability with respect to brown discoloration, when compared to minced beef resulting from a traditional (cold) process. The colour was followed by tristimulus colorimetry during freezer storage (product temperature -18°C) in a display cabinet illuminated by fluorescent tubes. The development of brown discoloration seems to indicate other oxidative changes and to relate to rancidity as judged from a determination of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances in the mince surface. Fluorescent light and added salt, both known from chemical models to increase the autoxidation rate of red oxymyoglobin to brown metmyoglobin, greatly reduced the colour stability, especially for cold deboned meat. pH of the hot deboned meat was significantly higher (pH > 6·0) than that of the cold deboned meat (pH ranged from 5·5 to 5·8). The observations are discussed in relation to kinetic salt effect on the acid catalyzed autoxidation of oxymyoglobin and its role in the initiation of oxidative rancidity.     

Model-driven design for the visual analysis of heterogeneous data

As heterogeneous data from different sources are being increasingly linked, it becomes difficult for users to understand how the data are connected, to identify what means are suitable to analyze a given data set, or to find out how to proceed for a given analysis task. We target this challenge with a new model-driven design process that effectively codesigns aspects of data, view, analytics, and tasks. We achieve this by using the workflow of the analysis task as a trajectory through data, interactive views, and analytical processes. The benefits for the analysis session go well beyond the pure selection of appropriate data sets and range from providing orientation or even guidance along a preferred analysis path to a potential overall speedup, allowing data to be fetched ahead of time. We illustrate the design process for a biomedical use case that aims at determining a treatment plan for cancer patients from the visual analysis of a large, heterogeneous clinical data pool. As an example for how to apply the comprehensive design approach, we present Stack'n'flip, a sample implementation which tightly integrates visualizations of the actual data with a map of available data sets, views, and tasks, thus capturing and communicating the analytical workflow through the required data sets.     

Corrections for nonuniform sampling distortions in magnetic resonance imagery

A technique for estimating and correcting nonuniform sampling distortions in magnetic resonance imagery is presented. The technique consists of first estimating the sampling grid distortion using a parametric model, and then estimating the uniformly sampled data by interpolation on the nonuniform grid. Parameterized models for two particular sampling grid distortion are presented. Maximum likelihood and maximum a posteriori estimators are developed for these distortions. Using computer simulated data, these estimators are shown to perform well.     

Time-coded aperture tomography: experimental results

In this paper, we discuss the applicability of a time-coded aperture system especially designed for thyroid tomography on the basis of phantom experiments. Our studies show that 1) the quality of the reconstructions is high (e.g., a cold spot of 6 mm diameter in a thyroid phantom can easily be detected), and 2) the reconstruction can be carried out in less than 11 min on a standard 16 bit minicomputer (HP1000). It is therefore concluded that the clinical potentiality of the device is good.
