The microstructural development during crystallization firing of a commercially-available dental-grade nanostructured lithia-zirconia glass-ceramic (Vita Suprinity® PC) was unraveled using a wide battery of ex-situ and in-situ characterization techniques. It was found that the milling blocks are slightly crystallized glass-ceramics, with a complex chemical composition and consisting of partially de-polymerized glass plus lithium silicate (Li2SiO3) nanocrystals. It was also found that during crystallization firing the glassy matrix first reacts with part of the Li2SiO3 to form lithium disilicate (Li2Si2O5) at ~810?820 °C, and then lithium orthophosphate (Li3PO4) precipitates from the glass. This results in glass-ceramics with abundant nanocrystals embedded in a sparse zirconosilicate glass matrix (containing many other cations subsumed) that, due to its high viscosity, inhibited crystal growth. Therefore, these dental glass-ceramics are not reinforced with zirconia (ZrO2) crystals unless over-fired above ~890 °C and at the expense of its singular nanostructure. Finally, this study opens doors for optimizing the clinical performance of these dental glass-ceramics via microstructural tailoring.  相似文献

Rhabdophane-type Eu3+,Tb3+-codoped LaPO4·nH2O single-crystal nanorods with the compositions La0.99999-xEuxTb0.00001PO4·nH2O (x?=?0–0.03), La0.99999-yTbyEu0.00001PO4·n′H2O (y?=?0–0.010), and La0.99999-zTbzEu0.000007PO4·n′′H2O (z?=?0–0.012) were hydrothermally synthesized with microwaves. It is shown that the Eu3+,Tb3+ codoping does not affect the thermal stability of these nanorods, which is due to the formation of substitutional solid solutions with both Eu3+ and Tb3+ replacing La3+ in the crystal lattice. Moreover, it is also shown that monazite-type Eu3+,Tb3+-codoped LaPO4 single-crystal nanorods can be obtained by calcining their rhabdophane-type Eu3+,Tb3+-codoped LaPO4·(n,n′ or n′′)H2O counterparts at moderate temperature in air, and that they are thermally stable. It is also observed that, for the same Eu3+,Tb3+-codoping content, the monazite-type Eu3+,Tb3+-codoped LaPO4 nanorods exhibit higher photoluminescent efficiency than the rhabdophane-type Eu3+,Tb3+-codoped LaPO4· (n,n′ or n′′)H2O nanorods. Moreover, it is found that the highest photoluminescence emission corresponds to the monazite-type La0.96999Eu0.02Tb0.00001PO4 nanorods for the La0.99999-xEuxTb0.00001PO4 system. However, for those compositions energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+ does not occur. In addition, for an efficient energy transfer to occur, a content of at least 1?mol% Tb3+ is needed in all the studied materials.  相似文献

Research on Game Transfer Phenomena (GTP) has demonstrated that playing video games can lead to re-experiencing images, sounds, tactile sensations, spontaneous thoughts and actions, sometimes triggered by physical objects/events associated with the game. Location-based augmented reality games posit interesting questions regarding GTP, particularly because they use physical locations, they overlay digital images in physical contexts and the gameplay shifts between the virtual and the physical world. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of GTP and the role of immersion, augmented reality and sound in a sample of English- (EnS) and Spanish- (SpS) speaking gamers of the game Pokémon Go (PoGo). A total of 1313 gamers (Mage?=?31.47) were recruited online. GTP was less common than in previous studies; however, 82.4% had experienced GTP at least once. The SpS showed higher prevalence of GTP and played more intensively. Automatic mental processes predominated in the EnS, while behaviours and actions were more common in the SpS. The absence or presence of video game features seems important for the way GTP manifests. For instance, tactile hallucinations were more prevalent, while sensations of self-motion were less reported. Playing with augmented reality (AR) and sounds showed significant correlations with various GTP types, but not with re-experiencing images from the game. More gamers who reported the sensation that Pokémon were physically present or looked for Pokémon outside the screen while playing, as connotations of immersion, had experienced GTP. Experiencing GTP while playing may be more common in location-based augmented reality games, compared to other games.  相似文献

This work was aimed at determining the feasibility of artificial neural networks (ANN) by implementing backpropagation algorithms with default settings to generate better predictive models than multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis. The study was hypothesized on timolol-loaded liposomes. As tutorial data for ANN, causal factors were used, which were fed into the computer program. The number of training cycles has been identified in order to optimize the performance of the ANN. The optimization was performed by minimizing the error between the predicted and real response values in the training step. The results showed that training was stopped at 10?000 training cycles with 80% of the pattern values, because at this point the ANN generalizes better. Minimum validation error was achieved at 12 hidden neurons in a single layer. MLR has great prediction ability, with errors between predicted and real values lower than 1% in some of the parameters evaluated. Thus, the performance of this model was compared to that of the MLR using a factorial design. Optimal formulations were identified by minimizing the distance among measured and theoretical parameters, by estimating the prediction errors. Results indicate that the ANN shows much better predictive ability than the MLR model. These findings demonstrate the increased efficiency of the combination of ANN and design of experiments, compared to the conventional MLR modeling techniques.  相似文献

Proton exchange membranes remain a crucial material and a key challenge to fuel cell science and technology. In this work, new Nafion membranes are prepared by a casting method using aryl- or azaheteroaromatic bisphosphonate compounds as dopants. The incorporation of the dopant, considered at 1 wt% loading after previous selection, produces enhanced proton conductivity properties in the new membranes, at different temperature and relative humidity conditions, in comparison with values obtained with commercial Nafion. Water uptake and ionic exchange capacity (IEC) are also assessed due to their associated impact on transport properties, resulting in superior values than Nafion when tested in the same experimental conditions. These improvements by doped membranes prompted the evaluation of their potential application in fuel cells, at different temperatures. The new membranes, in membrane-electrode assemblies (MEAs), show an increased fuel cell maximum power output with temperature until 60 °C or 70 °C, followed by a decrease above these temperatures, a Nafion-like behaviour when measured in the same conditions. The membrane doped with [1,4-phenylenebis(hydroxymethanetriyl)]tetrakis(phosphonic acid) (BP2) presents better results than Nafion N-115 membrane at all studied temperatures, with a maximum power output performance of ~383 mW cm?2 at 70 °C. Open circuit potentials of the fuel cell were always higher than values obtained for Nafion MEAs in all studied conditions, indicating the possibility of advantageous restrain to gas crossover in the new doped membranes.  相似文献

The sliding-wear resistance of pure near fully-dense B4C is investigated, and the wear mode/mechanisms identified, under lubrication with water, diesel fuel, and paraffin oil. It is found that the wear is mild in the three cases, with specific wear rates (SWRs) of 10?16–10?17 m3/N m. Nonetheless, the wear resistance of the B4C ceramic is one order of magnitude greater under oil lubrication (1016 N m/m3) than under water lubrication (1015 N m/m3), and twice as great for the specific case of paraffin oil than diesel fuel, attributable to the lubricant’s viscosity. It is also found that the wear mode is always abrasion, and that the wear mechanisms are plastic deformation and localized fracture with grain pullout. However, in agreement with the macro-wear data, the severity of the wear damage is lower under lubrication with paraffin oil, followed by diesel fuel, and lastly water. Finally, microstructural considerations are discussed with a view to enhancing the sliding-wear resistance of B4C triboceramics.  相似文献

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined in tissues of wild mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) from the Galicia coast (NW Spain) in order to assess the extent of the environmental impact caused by the Prestige oil spill (November 13, 2002). Three sampling campaigns were carried out in February, June and November 2003 at 24 stations along the Galicia coast, from La Guardia (Pontevedra) to Ribadeo (Lugo). The spatial distribution of PAHs found in the first sampling period, clearly revealed the central area (Costa da Morte) as the most affected by the oil spill. In these stations, concentrations up to 7780 microg/kg dw of the sum of 13 parent PAHs were found 2-3 months after the spill. Molecular parameters within the aliphatic and aromatic fractions confirmed the presence of the Prestige oil in these samples. The levels markedly decreased at most of the stations in the second sampling and recovered to levels found before the spill in November 2003, 1 year after the accident (29-279 microg/kg dw, av. 133+/-83 microg/kg dw). However, a certain increase was observed in some sites which could be related to the remobilization of oil residues from still unclean intertidal spots or sediments due to the winter marine weather conditions.  相似文献

This paper presents some initial results from the Instituto Tecnológico Geominero de Espa?a's (ITGE) study of the Aznalcóllar mine spill. The spatial distribution of the pyritic sludge released was surveyed by using remote sensing data, aerial photography, and more than 700 field measurements on the sludge thickness. Initial estimation of the extent of the sludge was provided by radar data. Maps at 1:10,000 scale, drawn on the basis of field data and interpretation of aerial photos, show the distribution of the sludge, divided into 168 subsections on the basis of average thickness. GIS analysis provided estimates of the area and volume of the sludge. Three approaches were followed in order to survey the effects of the spill on the Guadiamar river alluvial soils: (1) Mineralogical and chemical characterization of the sludge and its evolution until its removal. Alteration products of the pyritic sludge were also analyzed. (2) Determination of geochemical background of soils in the Guadiamar river basin, in order to establish the content of heavy metals and other elements in the soil before the spill. (3) Assessment of the sludge effect on soils caused by the acid water and the deposited sludge, by comparison of the heavy metal content of soil under the sludge layer with that of background soil. Finally, an airborne multispectral survey was carried out over the Aznalcóllar-Do?ana area to evaluate its efficiency for monitoring soil condition during and after sludge removal.  相似文献

Landfill leachate with a low BOD/COD ratio was electrochemically oxidized by means of a boron-doped diamond anode. In addition to organic matter removal, this study addressed the issue of formation of both chlorinated organic compounds and nitrate ions as a result of organic matter and ammonia and/or organic nitrogen electro-oxidation in the presence of chloride ions. A factorial design methodology was implemented to evaluate the statistically important operating variables: treatment time (1-4 h), pH (5-8), current intensity (6.3-8.4 A) and addition of chloride (2500-4500 mg L−1). The process was evaluated on COD, total nitrogen (TN) and colour removal, as well as on the formation of nitrate, nitrite and chlorinated organics. Of the four variables studied, treatment time and pH had a considerable influence on COD and colour removal. On the contrary, none of the variables had a significant effect on the elimination of TN for which an average removal of 61 mg L−1 was obtained. The studied variables exhibited different effects on the four groups of organo-chlorinated compounds considered in this study, namely trihalomethanes (THMs), haloacetonitriles (HANs), haloketons (HKs) and 1,2-dichloroethane (DCA). Further analysis at more intense conditions, i.e. current intensity up to 18 A and reaction time up to 8 h revealed that high levels of decolourization (84%) could be achieved followed by low COD (51%) and ammonia (32%) removals. Apart from DCA, the concentration of chlorinated organics increased continuously with treatment time reaching values as high as 1.9 mg L−1, 753 μg L−1 and 431 μg L−1 of THMs, HANs and HKs, respectively.  相似文献
