Subwavelength nanostructures are considered as promising building blocks for antireflection and light trapping applications. In this study, we demonstrate excellent broadband antireflection effect from thin films of monolayer silica nanospheres with a diameter of 100 nm prepared by Langmuir-Blodgett method on glass substrates. With a single layer of compact silica nanosphere thin film coated on both sides of a glass, we achieved maximum transmittance of 99% at 560 nm. Furthermore, the optical transmission peak of the nanosphere thin films can be tuned over the UV-visible range by changing processing parameters during Langmuir-Blodgett deposition. The tunable optical transmission peaks of the Langmuir-Blodgett films were correlated with deposition parameters such as surface pressure, surfactant concentration, ageing of suspensions and annealing effect. Such peak-tunable broadband antireflection coating has wide applications in diversified industries such as solar cells, windows, displays and lenses. 相似文献

Experiments were conducted to characterize the influence of texture and impact velocity on the dynamic, high-strain, tensile extrusion of zirconium. Bullet-shaped samples were machined from a clock-rolled, highly textured Zr plate. Specimens in two orthogonal directions were tested: the extrusion direction aligned with either the in-plane (IP) rolling or the through-thickness (TT) direction of the plate. The post-extrusion microstructure and texture evolution were examined using electron backscatter diffraction microscopy and modeled using the viscoplastic self-consistent model. It was found that extrusion deformation was accomplished through a combination of twinning and slip with their relative activity greatly depending on the initial texture. In this regard, higher elongations in the IP samples as compared to the TT samples were observed at similar test velocities. This difference in ductility is discussed in terms of the material’s ability to accommodate plastic deformation. Due to the availability of a larger number of slip systems with relatively high Schmid factors in the IP samples under this configuration, plastic deformation by prismatic slip can be easily achieved, resulting in larger elongations. On the contrary, for TT samples, twinning preceded deformation by slip. This sequential deformation process, driven by the need to reorient the microstructure favorably to slip, led to diminished elongations to failure. 相似文献

The influence of temperature on the dynamic tensile behavior of Zr has been investigated. Bullet-shaped Zr samples with two different textures were dynamically extruded at room temperature and 523 K (250 °C). A higher ductility was measured for samples deformed at elevated temperature as compared to those extruded at room temperature. This difference in ductility is discussed in terms of zirconium’s ability to accommodate plastic deformation via thermally enhanced slip activity, as evidenced by examination of the deformed microstructures. 相似文献

The present work aims to study the bulk and surface properties of the TiO2/clinoptilolite composite on the crystalline structure, superficial area, bandgap energy, zeta potential, particle size distribution, and chemical composition; in order to analyze the effect of the clinoptilolite proportion in the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants. TiO2/clinoptilolite composites were prepared by adding different mass proportions of clinoptilolite to a sol–gel bath containing TiCl4 as the titania precursor. Surface charge studies explain the larger sensitivity to composite ratio observed in the photocatalytic degradation of anionic pollutants than in cationic dyes. An optimum TiO2/clinoptilolite ratio of 90/10 was found to be the most efficient in terms of lower tendency to agglomeration, largest surface area, and increased crystallite size. Improvement in composite surface area occurs only at low clinoptilolite wt% and seems to be caused by lower agglomeration of nanometric TiO2 and acid-induced porosity in the zeolite. 相似文献

Summary
The thermal decomposition of Polyamide 66 (PA)/High-Density polyethylene (HDPE) blends at different compositions was studied.
The results for activation energy show that when Polyamide 66 with HDPE blends are processed within the range of the compositions
being studied, it is possible to obtain a material with similar thermodegradative properties than those corresponding to PA.
These blends would represent an economically viable alternative, because a material would be obtained with low cost/property
ratio. Of the presented results, it is inferred that the composition of 20% of HDPE is the one that presents greater thermal
stability.

Solid lipid particles (SLP) are one strategy for encapsulating lipophilic molecules, including for controlled release and
enhanced bioavailability applications. SLP based on fully hydrogenated canola stearin (CaSt, 5, 10, 20, and 30 wt%) and the
non-ionic surfactant Poloxamer 188 (P188, 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.5, 5.0 and 10.0 wt%) were produced by high pressure melt homogenization
using a microfluidizer. Spherical particles in the region of 140 nm were formed, depending on compostion and processing parameters.
Surfactant concentration and pressure had a significant influence on particle diameter (P < 0.05), although number of homogenization cycles did not (P > 0.05). A maximum surfactant surface load of approximately 4 mg m−2 was observed and, at or above 2.5% P188, excess surfactant was present in the continuous phase after production. P188 had
the effect of decreasing particle size and facilitating transitions from the α to the β polymorph (P < 0.05) both through surface nucleation and size reduction effects. A stability study of the 10% CaSt SLP with 0.0, 1.0,
or 5.0% P188 revealed particle growth for the 0.0 and 1.0% P188 SLP, especially at 20 versus 4 °C, but no changes in the 5.0%
P188 SLP, which were exclusively in the β form, at both temperatures for up to 240 days. 相似文献
