The influence of the atmosphere on hole transport in poly(diphenylenephthalide) films

The influence of ambient air on hole mobility in thin polydiphenylenephthalide films has been studied. The current-voltage characteristics of samples of diode configuration with unipolar conductivity have been measured in air and inert atmosphere with controllable oxygen and water. It has been shown that the hole mobility measured in the inert atmosphere exceeds the mobility measured in air by no less than 1.5 times.

Chemical sensors based on nano-polymer films

A procedure is described for formation of a nano-structured organic-organic interface with increased conductivity at the interface of two polymer films. It is established that conductivity is determined by the type and degree of external action. It is shown that on the basis of this interface it is possible to create chemical sensors, and in fact sensors for the relative humidity of air, ethanol vapor pressure, and pH readings. A new approach to the production of aluminum and its compounds from nonconventional alumina feedstock

The paper describes a new approach to alumina and aluminum production from a nonconventional aluminosilicate feed, namely, zeolite tuffs. The authors substantiate mineralogical features and technological principles of treatment of zeolites and clayey minerals that are in composition of zeolite ores.
