ON ELECTRON INITIAL VELOCITY DISTRIBUTIONS OF SOME PRACTICAL THERMIONIC CATHODES

In this paper,electron initial velocity distributions of two kinds of practical thermionic cathodesare studied with the pre-accelerating—post-deaccelerating type retarding field method.The phenom-enon of the splitting of electron initial velocity distribution of the oxide coated cathode into spectrumunder strong pulse electric field is explained,based on the dynamical surface emission centers theory.
