This paper describes a benchmark model proposed for the clarification of the characteristic of various methods for modeling the laminated iron core. In order to obtain a reference solution of the benchmark model, a large‐scale nonlinear magnetostatic field analysis with a mesh fine enough to represent the microscopic structure of the laminated iron core is carried out by using the hybrid finite element–boundary element (FE‐BE) method combined with the fast multipole method (FMM) based on diagonal forms for translation operators. The computational costs and accuracy of two kinds of homogenization methods are discussed, comparing them with the reference solution. As a consequence, it is verified that the homogenization methods can analyze magnetic fields in laminated iron core within acceptable computational costs. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The circadian variation of urinary N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (NAG, EC 3.2.1.30) and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (gamma-GTP, EC 2.3.2.2) was evaluated in cats. Urine and blood were collected at 4-hr intervals from adult cats (3 males, 9 females) weighing between 2.6 and 5.0 kg. There was no circadian variation in the urine volume, creatinine clearance, creatinine excretion, NAG excretion or gamma-GTP excretion. The average NAG and gamma-GTP indices in the 4-hr urine were similar to those for the 24-hr urine. However, the variance for the 4-hr urine samples was higher than that of 24-hr urine. In conclusion, although 4-hr urine samples can be used to estimate 24-hr urinary enzyme excretion, short-term spot urine samples may cause increased variation in the enzyme index. 相似文献

Chinese Maoming (Guangdong Province) oil shale was subjected to supercritical fluid extraction with water and toluene, respectively,
in a batch autoclave. Yields of organic matter were greater with toluene than with water, and more organic compounds of high
molecular weight were extracted with toluene than with water, although the weight losses of the oil shale with toluene and
water were almost the same. Yield distributions ofn-alkanes were also almost the same, irrespective of the solvent.

Cholesterol oxidase (CHO) with high stability in detergents was found from an isolated strain, Y-134, belonging to the gamma-subclass of Proteobacteria. CHO production reached its maximum by incubation at 30 degrees C for 12 d. It was purified from cell-free extract prepared by mixing the cells with 0.4% Triton X-100. The absorption spectrum of the purified enzyme exhibited maxima at 274 and 410 nm, and a shoulder at 330 nm. The molecular mass was 115 kDa with two identical subunits of 58 kDa. The enzyme oxidized cholest-5-en-3beta-ol (cholesterol) and 5alpha-cholestan-3beta-ol (dihydrocholesterol) at a high reaction rate, and the K(m) value for cholesterol was 65 microM. The stability of the enzyme was higher than other CHOs in nonionic detergents with high values of hydrophilelipophile balance (HLB) such as Triton X-450 and sodium cholate. NH2-terminal sequence analysis showed a high similarity to CHO from Burkholderia cepacia, but not to CHOs from Streptomyces or Brevibacterium. 相似文献

A method is proposed for predicting the variations of air and water temperatures and of air humidity in a packed bed counterflow type of cooling tower subjected to a thermal disturbance. Heat input-response measurements are carried out by imposing thermal disturbances on inlet water and inlet air. A distributed feedback (DFB) laser emitting at 1.3 μm for gigabit lightwave communication systems has been developed. The distributed feedback structure has been introduced in a newly developed buried heterostructure and designs for stable single-mode operation, high speed modulation, and low noise have been done. Threshold current of 10-15 mA, differential efficiency of around 0.28 mW/mA, low noise, small signal modulation bandwidth of 13.9 GHz, and satisfactory modulation waveform at 5-Gbit/s NRZ modulation have been attained with high single-mode operation yield. 相似文献
