A competent failure analyst can often determine whether the machine design was nominally adequate with a half hour time slot
for visual examination. The use of macrofractography, a specialized type of visual examination, can allow trained personnel
to determine whether improper alignment or component imperfections may have contributed to an unexpected failure. Case studies
will be presented. Some examples of “learning from the graveyard” and how that can facilitate improvements in design, manufacturing,
and operations will be described.

We investigate dense output formulae (also known as continuous extensions) for strong stability preserving (SSP) Runge–Kutta methods. We require that the dense output formula also possess the SSP property, ideally under the same step-size restriction as the method itself. A general recipe for first-order SSP dense output formulae for SSP methods is given, and second-order dense output formulae for several optimal SSP methods are developed. It is shown that SSP dense output formulae of order three and higher do not exist, and that in any method possessing a second-order SSP dense output, the coefficient matrix A has a zero row. 相似文献

In this paper, we define some Einstein operations on cubic fuzzy set (CFS) and develop three arithmetic averaging operators, which are cubic fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging (CFEWA) operator, cubic fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted averaging (CFEOWA) operator and cubic fuzzy Einstein hybrid weighted averaging (CFEHWA) operator, for aggregating cubic fuzzy data. The CFEHWA operator generalises both the CFEWA and CFEOWA operators. Furthermore, we develop various properties of these operators and derive the relationship between the proposed operators and the exiting aggregation operators. We apply CFEHWA operator to multiple attribute decision-making with cubic fuzzy data. Finally, a numerical example is constructed to demonstrate the established approach. 相似文献

针对传统分类算法对维吾尔文文本分类准确率不高的问题,提出了一种基于深度置信网络的维吾尔文短信文本分类模型。深度学习模拟人脑的多层次结构,对数据从低层到高层逐渐地进行特征提取,深层挖掘数据集的分布规律,从而提高分类准确性。通过逐层无监督的方法完成深度置信网络的初始化,并结合softmax回归分类器实现文本的分类。最后在收集的维吾尔文短信数据集上进行实验论证。实验结果表明,相比KNN、SVM和决策树算法,深度置信网络具有更好的分类效果,准确率更高。 相似文献

Prevention of amyloid β peptide (Aβ) deposition via facilitation of Aβ binding to its natural depot, human serum albumin (HSA), is a promising approach to preclude Alzheimer’s disease (AD) onset and progression. Previously, we demonstrated the ability of natural HSA ligands, fatty acids, to improve the affinity of this protein to monomeric Aβ by a factor of 3 (BBRC, 510(2), 248–253). Using plasmon resonance spectroscopy, we show here that another HSA ligand related to AD pathogenesis, serotonin (SRO), increases the affinity of the Aβ monomer to HSA by a factor of 7/17 for Aβ40/Aβ42, respectively. Meanwhile, the structurally homologous SRO precursor, tryptophan (TRP), does not affect HSA’s affinity to monomeric Aβ, despite slowdown of the association and dissociation processes. Crosslinking with glutaraldehyde and dynamic light scattering experiments reveal that, compared with the TRP-induced effects, SRO binding causes more marked changes in the quaternary structure of HSA. Furthermore, molecular docking reveals distinct structural differences between SRO/TRP complexes with HSA. The disintegration of the serotonergic system during AD pathogenesis may contribute to Aβ release from HSA in the central nervous system due to impairment of the SRO-mediated Aβ trapping by HSA. 相似文献
