Recording Parameters of Torsional Vibrations of Turbogenerator Shafts

It is proposed that the mechanical state of turbogenerators be regularly monitored by photoelectric chronometric recording of low-frequency torsional vibrations of their shafts. The vibrations are caused by small sudden changes which are continuously occurring in the operating parameters of the turbine unit.     

Recording and Analysis of Turbine Shutdown Parameters by a Phase Method

Transient recordings are considered for the shutdown of a turbine generator functioning under the conditions of a heat and electricity generating station. Photoelectric systems are used for precision chronometric recording (absolute error 1·10⁻⁷ sec) of the rotating shaft to provide for detecting effects not accessible to the standard equipment of power stations. Multifactorial mathematical models of the functioning of gas-turbine aviation engines in a phase-chronometric representation

Structures of mathematical models intended for studying the possibility of applying a phase-chronometric method of control and diagnostics of cyclic mechanisms based on precision measurement of time intervals corresponding to the shaft rotation angles within a single revolution, to control and diagnostics of the technical states of gas-turbine aviation engines are proposed. Besides models of rotating elements in the construction of engines, models of the processes that occur in the gaseodynamic flow passage of an engine along with models that describe the stochastic components of the basic gaseodynamic parameters governed by irregularities and fluctuations in the air-gas flow are also considered.     

A Phase Method of Investigating Cyclic Machines and Mechanisms Based on a Chronometric Approach

A method of investigating cyclic machines and mechanisms based on precision measurement monitoring of the phase of the working cycle is considered. The prospects of using this method to estimate the technical state of transport and power systems and precision instruments are pointed out.     

Problems in diagnosing cyclic machines and mechanisms

Photoelectric method of measuring the rotation period of a turbine drive shaft

The rotation period has been measured for a turbine shaft in a thermal power station by an optoelectronic method. The electronic unit is screened from electromagnetic interference at line frequency, and the fiber-optic lines provide a measurement error of 5·10⁻⁴%.
