A clock-cycle accurate synchronization technique for fully integrated data-converters is presented. Only a single cable is needed to distribute both the required synchronization signal and the converter clock. Different possible implementations, both to generate and decompose the distributed signal, are presented. A discrete component generator circuit is discussed. To avoid setup and hold time violations, on-chip signal reconstruction is unavoidable. A 40 nm CMOS recovery circuit was developed. Simulation results, including layout parasitics, show the wide frequency operating range of the proposed technique.  相似文献

Fabrication technologies for multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si) solar cells have advanced in recent years with efficiencies of mc-Si cells exceeding 18%. Intense efforts have been made at laboratory level to improve process technology, growth methods, and material improvement techniques to deliver better devices at lower cost. Deeper understanding of the physics and optics of the device led to improved device design. This provided a fruitful feedback to the industrial sector. Both screenprinting and buried-contact technologies yield cells of high performance. An increasingly large amount of research activity is also focussed on the fabrication of thin solar cells on cheap substrates such as glass, ceramic, or low quality silicon. Success of these efforts is expected to lead to high efficiency devices at much lower costs. Efforts are also being put on low thermal budget processing of solar cells based on rapid thermal annealing.  相似文献

The present study describes the construction of a taxonomy of trait-related symptoms in childhood, the Dimensional Personality Symptom Item Pool (DIPSI), and examines the replicability of the taxonomy's higher order structure across maternal ratings of referred (N = 205) and nonreferred (N = 242) children and self-ratings of adolescents (N = 453). The DIPSI's 4 higher order factors--that is, Emotional Instability, Disagreeableness, Introversion, and Compulsivity--showed clear correspondence with the dimensions of personality pathology found in adulthood (Dimensional Assessment of Personality Pathology-Basic Questionnaire; W. J. Livesley, 1990; Schedule for Nonadaptive and Adaptive Personality; L. A. Clark, 1993). These 4 factors can be further organized into 2 superfactors, representing Internalizing and Externalizing Traits, demonstrating empirical and conceptual relationships with psychopathology models in childhood and adulthood. The implications for the assessment and conceptualization of early trait pathology are discussed in the context of an integrative developmental perspective on the construction of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-Fifth Edition. The discovery of new leads acting via novel modes of action in the treatment of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the causative agent of AIDS, remains a challenge. Along this line we synthesized and evaluated a series of N-substituted 4-aminophthalimides which were designed according to the models of thalidomide, phenytoin (PHT) and ameltolide. From a series of 24 compounds only N-1-adamantyl-4-aminophthalimide was endowed with anti-HIV-1 and -HIV-2 activity in CEM cell cultures.  相似文献

In a dual targeting approach, to explore the ability of tretinoin (all-trans-retinoic acid) to behave as a covalent carrier for cytotoxic entities, conjugates of retinoic acid with a few representative molecules, being important examples of antitumor pharmacophores (i.e., nucleoside analogues and alkylating agents), have been synthesized and tested for their cytostatic and differentiating activity. All compounds were stable to in vitro hydrolysis in human plasma and more lipophilic than the parent compounds, thus consenting enhanced uptake into the cells. Among the nucleoside analogues the Ara-C derivatives 3 and 6 and the Ara-A derivative 7 proved the most cytostatic (IC50 < 0.32 microgram/mL) resulting from 25- to > 144-fold more active (Ara-A derivatives) or at least as equally active (Ara-C derivatives) as compared to the parent nucleosides. Compound 3, endowed with a highly lipophilic silyl moiety at the 3' and 5' positions, showed the highest differentiating activity (54% and 44% differentiated HL-60 cells at 0.2 and 0.05 microgram/mL respectively). With regard to the retinoic acid conjugates of alkylating agents, compound 10 was the most cytostatic agent (IC50 < 0.32 microgram/mL) and the most potent differentiating agent (33-34% at 0.32 and 0.08 microgram/mL). These structures may also be regarded as analogs of either retinoic acid or the cytotoxic compound.  相似文献

We have compared the splenic responses following immunization with the T cell-independent (TI)-2 antigen native dextran B512 and with a thymus-dependent (TD) protein-dextran conjugate. Interestingly, primary immunization with native dextran induced germinal center (GC) formation in the spleen to the same extent as the protein-dextran conjugate. The GC were antigen-specific as characterized by the presence of peanut agglutinin (PNA)-positive areas that were also binding FITC-conjugated dextran. Dextran-binding B cells were also detected outside the GC as sites of antibody-producing cells. The secondary splenic response to native dextran was suppressed compared to the primary response, with almost no dextran-specific GC or extra-follicular sites with dextran-specific B cells present in the sections. This suppression could be reverted by using cholera toxin (CT) as an adjuvant for the dextran immunizations. Following native dextran immunization with CT adjuvant a secondary splenic GC response similar to a TD secondary splenic GC response was generated, with almost all the dextran-specific B cells located in the GC. Collectively, this indicates that the difference between TI and TD antigen responses is not due to different abilities in inducing GC development, rather the GC reaction is less productive for a TI antigen than for a TD antigen. CT can both increase secondary GC formation in particular for the TI form of dextran and ameliorate the GC reaction, as reflected by increased anti-dextran antibody levels.  相似文献
