The hygro-mechanical behavior of a hierarchical cellular material, i.e. growth rings of softwood is investigated using a two-scale micro-mechanics model based on a computational homogenization technique. The lower scale considers the individual wood cells of varying geometry and dimensions. Honeycomb unit cells with periodic boundary conditions are utilized to calculate the mechanical properties and swelling coefficients of wood cells. Using the cellular scale results, the anisotropy in mechanical and swelling behavior of a growth ring in transverse directions is investigated. Predicted results are found to be comparable to experimental data. It is found that the orthotropic swelling properties of the cell wall in thin-walled earlywood cells produce anisotropic swelling behavior while, in thick latewood cells, this anisotropy vanishes. The proposed approach provides the ability to consider the complex microstructure when predicting the effective mechanical and swelling properties of softwood.  相似文献

In E-commerce, numbers of transactions are increasing day by day in B2B and B2C trade. Online negotiation is possible because of automated negotiation. Autonomous entities such as agents could help in these situations. Providing an offer which has maximum utilities for both trading parties into possible shortest time is the main aim of this work. Proposed model applies issue trade-offs strategy in which multiple issues are traded-offs against one another to maximize participant satisfaction. To make trade-offs the model applies a fuzzy system approach. The automated negotiation model in this article has a process without offer generating and exchanging between buyer and supplier agents to explore time-consuming negotiation process in earlier researches. Mediator component searches an optimal offer that satisfies buyer and supplier requirements. The system will utilize fuzzy inference systems to automate negotiation process and considers two effective factors in the negotiation process: requirements and preferences. Requirements are qualitative or quantitative values which the participants assign to issues for negotiation. Preferences of the participants are priorities assigned to the issues. These values express an importance measure of the issues from a participant perspective. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to get preferences of the issues. Proposed model applies different Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) schemes for qualitative and quantitative negotiation issues to enhance the satisfaction level of buyers and suppliers. Experimental results show that how the model fulfills the main aim of our work.  相似文献

One of the most challenging issues in the big data research area is the inability to process a large volume of information in a reasonable time. Hadoop and Spark are two frameworks for distributed data processing. Hadoop is a very popular and general platform for big data processing. Because of the in-memory programming model, Spark as an open-source framework is suitable for processing iterative algorithms. In this paper, Hadoop and Spark frameworks, the big data processing platforms, are evaluated and compared in terms of runtime, memory and network usage, and central processor efficiency. Hence, the K-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithm is implemented on datasets with different sizes within both Hadoop and Spark frameworks. The results show that the runtime of the KNN algorithm implemented on Spark is 4 to 4.5 times faster than Hadoop. Evaluations show that Hadoop uses more sources, including central processor and network. It is concluded that the CPU in Spark is more effective than Hadoop. On the other hand, the memory usage in Hadoop is less than Spark.

The aim of the present work was to investigate the adsorption of Ce(III) and Sm(III) onto multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) oxidized with concentrate nitric acid. The effects of solution pH, adsorbent dosage, and contact time were studied by batch technique. Langmuir, Freundlich and D-R isotherms were used to describe the adsorption behavior of Ce(III) and Sm(III) by oxidized MWCNTs, and the experimental results fitted Freundlich model well. The maximum uptake capacities (q m ) calculated by applying the Langmuir equation for samarium and cerium ions were found to be 89.28 and 92.59 (mg/g), respectively. A comparison of the kinetic models and the overall experimental data was best fitted by the pseudo second-order kinetic model. The calculated thermodynamic parameters (ΔGo, ΔHo, and ΔSo) showed that the adsorption for Ce(III) and Sm(III) is feasible, spontaneous and exothermic at 30–60 °C. Moreover, more than 70% of Ce(III) and Sm(III) adsorbed onto Oxidized MWCNTs could be desorbed with HNO3.  相似文献

A semi-analytical analysis for the transient elastodynamic response of an arbitrarily thick simply supported beam due to the action of an arbitrary moving transverse load is presented, based on the linear theory of elasticity. The solution of the problem is derived by means of the powerful state space technique in conjunction with the Laplace transformation with respect to the time coordinate. The inversion of Laplace transform has been carried out numerically using Durbin??s approach based on Fourier series expansion. Special convergence enhancement techniques are invoked to completely eradicate spurious oscillations and obtain uniformly convergent solutions. Detailed numerical results for the transient vibratory responses of concrete beams of selected thickness parameters are obtained and compared for three types of harmonic moving concentrated loads: accelerated, decelerated and uniform. The effects of the load velocity, pulsation frequency and beam aspect ratio on the dynamic response are examined. Also, comparisons are made against solutions based on Euler?CBernoulli and Timoshenko beam models. Limiting cases are considered, and the validity of the model is established by comparison with the solutions available in the existing literature as well as with the aid of a commercial finite element package.  相似文献

In this paper, a methodology is proposed to predict the ductile damage in the sheet metal blanking process using a coupled thermomechanical finite-element method. A constitutive material model combined with the ductile fracture criteria was used. The effect of material softening due to the heat generated during plastic work in a specimen was considered in blanking simulations. To verify the validity of the proposed model, several blanking simulations are performed and the results compared with those obtained from an experimental study. The interaction of fracture initiation and temperature distribution in the sheet metal during the process was studied. The effect of velocity and the clearance on the product shape were examined. It was seen that at high punch speeds the viscous and thermal effects have significant effects on product quality.  相似文献

Software agents in e-commerce systems are assigned to the participants. Buyer and supplier agents into multi-agent system architecture of the e-commerce system negotiate with others through an automated negotiation mechanism. In this study, an automated negotiation to interact between buyer and supplier and attain agreement for both is presented. A fuzzy inference system was used to automate negotiation process and consider two effective factors in the negotiation process: requirements and preferences. Requirements are qualitative or quantitative values which the participants assign to the issues of negotiation. Preferences of the participants are priorities assigned by them to issues. These values express an importance measure of issues from a participant perspective. Proposed model applies different fuzzy inference system (FIS) schemes for qualitative and quantitative negotiation issues to enhance the satisfaction level of the buyer and supplier. The FISs infer based on the preferences and requirements of both parties. Additionally, analytic hierarchy process was used to get preferences of the issues.
