气动贯通式潜孔锤反循环连续取心取样钻进新技术在河南钼矿中应用

三道庄钼矿勘探生产中钻遇的地层非常复杂，采用其他方法均无法实现钻进，经过分析比较，决定采用贯通式潜孔锤反循环连续取心（样）钻进新技术来解决该地层钻进难、成孔难、取样难等三大问题。文章从钻进技术特点、工作原理等方面对该技术进行详细分析，得出其具有钻进效率高、岩心（样）采取率高、成孔质量好等突出优点。并介绍了钻进主要设备机具的配套、施工工序、操作要点、遇到问题的解决方法等。在河南钼矿露天采石场应用该项技术，有效避免了塌孔和卡钻事故，工程进展顺利、质量好、岩心（样）采取率在98％以上，取得了良好的效果。针对在生产试验中遇到的某些问题，作者提出了一些改进建议。     

Cluster analysis in industrial market segmentation through artificial neural network

Market segmentation has commonly applied cluster analysis. This study intends to make the comparison of conventional two-stage method with proposed two-stage method through the simulated data. The proposed two-stage method is the combination of self-organizing feature maps and K-means method. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is better than the conventional two-stage method based on the rate of misclassification.     

盖层封闭能力的灰聚类评价方法

提出灰聚类评价方法，用于盖层封闭能力定量评价。所有被评价对象构成聚类对象集，所有评价指标构成评价指标集，所划分的盖层封闭能力等级构成聚类的灰类集，按照最大聚类权确定对象所属的灰类，即盖层的封闭能力级别。评价流程是：确定指标灰类模式→数据预处理→利用聚类公式计算→利用最大聚类权准则抉择。这种方法避免了加法评分法要依靠人的主观经验划定总评分值的问题，而且由于把评价对象视为“灰”的，具有处理边缘信息的能力。以琼东南盆地３个主要探区的盖层封闭性评价为例，介绍了灰聚类评价的具体应用方法。灰聚类评价方法同样可用于储集层评价、圈闭评价等地质问题的定量研究。表２参３（王孝陵摘     

A novel optical burst switching scheme—logical cascaded private subnet with start wavelength assignment policy

Many recent studies have convincingly demonstrated that network traffic exhibits a noticeable self-similar nature, which has a considerable impact on network performance, and most studies of optical burst switching (OBS) networks are under a fundamental assumption that full wavelength conversion is available throughout the network. In practice, however, economic and technical considerations are likely to dictate a more limited and sparse deployment of wavelength converters in the optical network. Therefore, we present a novel scheme for OBS networks, called logical cascaded private subnet (LCPN) with start wavelength assignment policy. We define the concept of canoe relative to cluster in self-similar traffic, and introduce a new device named payload segregator at the edge node as a gateway to the core node in OBS Networks. According to the changes in the edge node framework, we put forward the concept of cluster private subnet and canoe private subnet in the core node correspondingly. A new start wavelength assignment policy is proposed for the absence of (full) wavelength conversion capabilities in the core node of OBS Networks. The performance study indicates that, our new scheme is robust under self-similar traffic and wavelength continuity constraint.

Local wind patterns for modeling renewable energy systems by means of cluster analysis techniques

A method based on cluster analysis techniques is proposed in order to obtain representative local wind patterns. Modeling renewable energy systems, in an accurate way which strongly depends on wind loads, requires reliable data to analyze their response and evaluate their performance. Otherwise poor agreement with the models may be obtained. In a case study for La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico, four different wind patterns were obtained from a one-year data set recorded at 10-min intervals.     

A Quantum Chemical Study on Hexanuclear Cluster Halides of Rare Earth Elements and Their Interstitial Compounds

The electronic structures of rare earth cluster halides R(R_6X_(12)) and their interstitial compounds R_7X_(12)Zwere studied by the DV-X_(?) method (R=Sc,Y,Pr,Gd or Er;X=Cl,Br or I;Z=B,C,N,Fe,Co or Ru).Theresults show that because f electrons in empty rare earth cluster are screened,their orbitals are more difficult tooverlap each other,a deficiency of skeleton orbitals in cluster causing the system to be unstable.They are easilycondensed into chain compound R_2X_3 or R_5X_8.If a light atom of main group is embedded into octahedralcluster,bonding orbitals formed from interstitial atom and rare earth cluster strengthen clusterskeleton bond in the system to reach structural stability.If embedded atom belongs to transition metal,bondingorbitals composed of that of interstitial atom and rare earth cluster take the place of original cluster skeletonorbitals to form heteronuclear metal cluster (or double-coordination compound).

Consumers' beliefs, attitudes and intentions towards genetically modified foods, based on the 'perceived safety vs. benefits' perspective

It has been repeatedly claimed that the application of genetic engineering in the field of agricultural and food production is both beneficial and advantageous. However, biotechnology is developing in an environment where public concerns about food safety and environmental protection are steadily increasing. The present study aims at gaining an insight into Greek consumers’ beliefs, attitudes and intentions towards genetically modified (GM) food products. The objectives of this study are summarized as follows (i) to provide evidence that consumer beliefs are built around the ‘safety‐benefits’ axis, and (ii) to segment the Greek market in terms of consumer beliefs about GM food products and identify a number of clusters with clear‐cut behavioural profiles. Although the overall attitude of Greek consumers towards GM food is negative, the research very interestingly concludes that there exists a market segment of substantial size, whose beliefs about GM food appears to be positive. This finding suggests that there is not a ‘consensus’ regarding the rejection of GM foods in the Greek market as one might have expected thus ‘encouraging’ the implementation of adequate marketing strategies to target this segment of ‘early adopters’ in the first place.
