The low performance of open-cathode proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells (OCPEMFCs) is attributed to the low-humidity ambient air supplied to the cathode using electric fans. To improve the OCPEMFC performance, this paper proposes a novel humidification method by collecting water purged from the anode and supplying it to the open cathode. The OCPEMFC performance is evaluated at various humidifier distances from the cathode inlet, and it is compared with that where no humidifier is used when the OCPEMFC operates under three different current levels of 1, 5, and 8 A. The results show that the novel design improves the stack power, and optimal performance is achieved at a humidifier distance of 2 cm. The energy efficiency achieves an improvement between 1.4% and 1.8% when a humidifier is used. 相似文献

This paper deals with three-dimensional non-linear finite element analyses to assess the structural behavior of adhesively-bonded double supported tee joint of laminated FRP composites having embedded interfacial failures. The onset of interfacial failures is predicted by using Tsai–Wu coupled stress failure criterion with pre-determined stress values. The concept of fracture mechanics principle is utilized to study the sustainability of the tee joint having interfacial failures pre-existed at the critical locations. Individual modes of the strain energy release rates (SERR) GI, GII and GIII, are considered as the damage growth parameters and, are evaluated using the Modified crack closure integral (MCCI) technique based on the concept of linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM). Based on the stress analyses, it has been observed that the interfacial failures in tee joint structure trigger at the interface of base plate and adhesive layer from both ends of base plate. Depending on the SERR magnitudes, it has been noticed that the interfacial failure propagates under mixed mode condition. Therefore total SERR (GT) is considered as the governing parameter for damage propagation. Furthermore, efforts have been made to retard damage propagation rate by employing functionally graded adhesive (FGA) instead of monolithic adhesive material. Series of numerical simulations have been performed for varied interfacial failure length in functionally graded adhesively bonded double supported tee joint structure in order to achieve the significant effect of FGA with various modulus ratios on SERR. Material gradation of adhesive indicates significant SERR reduction at the incipient stage of failure which necessitates the use of functionally graded adhesive for the tee joint and prolong the service life of the structure. 相似文献

The need to reduce PEMFC systems cost as well as to increase their durability is crucial for their integration in various applications and especially for transport applications. A new simplified architecture of the anode circuit called Alternating Fuel Feeding (AFF) offers to reduce the development costs. Requiring a new stack concept, it combines the simplicity of Dead-End Anode (DEA) with the operation advantages of the hydrogen recirculation. The three architectures (DEA, recirculation and AFF) are compared in terms of performance on a 5-kW test bench in automotive conditions, through a sensitivity analysis. A gain of 17% on the system efficiency is observed when switching from DEA to AFF. Moreover, similar performances are obtained both for AFF and for recirculation after an accurate optimization of the AFF tuning parameters. Based on DoE data, a gain of 25% on the weight of the anodic line has been identified compared to pulsed ejector architecture and 43% with the classic recirculation architecture with blower only (Miraï). 相似文献

Here, LiY(WO4)2 nanotubes are prepared via a feasible electrospinning technique. This new anode material shows excellent electrochemical properties. The capacity loss of LiY(WO4)2 nanotubes is as low as 6.9% after 156 cycles, while bulk LiY(WO4)2 presents the capacity loss higher than 55.0%. Even after 600 long-life cycles, the capacity loss of the nanotubes is only 9%. It can be seen that the hollow structure with a rough surface and a porous morphology contributes to the improvement of electrochemical performance. Furthermore, online X-ray diffraction (XRD) method is firstly applied to understand the lithium ions insertion/extraction mechanism of LiY(WO4)2 nanotubes. It can be concluded that it is an asymmetrical two-phase reaction. A phase transformation from LiY(WO4)2 to Li3Y(WO4)2 can be obviously seen from the in situ XRD during discharge process. While Li2Y(WO4)2 appears as an intermediate phase with a reverse charge reaction. In addition, in situ XRD also demonstrates that LiY(WO4)2 nanotubes have surprised electrochemical reversibility. All the above results indicate that LiY(WO4)2 nanotubes can be expected to be anode candidate for rechargeable lithium ion batteries (LIBs). 相似文献

The growing demands for Li-ion batteries (LIBs) in the electrification revolution, require the development of advanced electrode materials. Recently, intercalating titanium niobium oxide (TNO) anode materials with the general formula of TiNbxO2+2.5x have received lots of attention as an alternative to graphite and Li4Ti5O12 commercial anodes. The desirability of this family of compounds stems from their high theoretical capacities (377–402 mAh/g), high safety, high working voltage, excellent cycling stability, and significant pseudocapacitive behavior. However, the rate performance of TNO-based anodes is poor owing to their low electronic and ionic conductivities. TNO-based composites generally are prepared with two aims of enhancing the conductivity of TNO and achieving a synergic effect between the TNO and the other component of the composite. Compositing with carbon matrices, such as graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are the most studied strategy for improving the conductivity of TNO and optimizing its high-rate performance. Also, for obtaining anode materials with high capacity and high long-term stability, the composites of TNO with transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) materials were proposed in previous literature. In this work, a comprehensive review of the TNO-based composites as the anodes for LIBs is presented which summarizes in detail the main recent literature from their synthesis procedure, optimum synthesis parameters, and the obtained morphology/structure to their electrochemical performance as the LIBs anode. 通过对不同活性组分的筛选,开发出活性炭负载氯化锰(M nC l2/AC)催化剂,用于碳酸二甲酯(DMC)和正丁胺甲氧羰基化反应合成正丁基氨基甲酸甲酯(MBC)。考察了M nC l2负载量对M nC l2/AC催化剂催化性能的影响及反应温度、反应时间、催化剂用量和原料配比对反应的影响。实验结果表明,适宜的M nC l2负载量为0.2mm ol/g;适宜的反应条件为:n(DMC)∶n(正丁胺)=3,催化剂的质量分数为5%,反应温度80℃,反应时间7h。在此条件下,正丁胺能完全转化,MBC的收率达到96.5%。探讨了不同载体负载的M nC l2催化剂的催化性能,发现中性载体有利于甲氧羰基化反应。 相似文献

从测得的竞聚率计算了单体链节在聚[苯乙烯-甲基丙烯酸β(甲基亚硫酰基)乙酯](PSM)中的序列分布。苯乙烯(S)或甲基丙烯酸β(甲基亚硫酰基)乙酯(M)的长序列的概率随着PSM中相应单体含量的增加而增加。对于S和M摩尔分数大致相等的PSM,单体链节的长序列分布函数值相接近。用与此结构相近的PSM合成的稀土金属络合物,其催化活性不佳。在M短序列分布和S长序列分布较高的情况下,络合物的催化活性最好。所得聚丁二烯的微观结构与PSM中单体单元的分布无关。 相似文献

A new and efficient method for preparation of optically active poly(styrene–divinylbenzene) copolymers (PS-DVB) is presented here. This is carried out by Friedel–Crafts acylation reaction of chiral N-phthaloyl
-leucine acid chloride with PS-DVB beads in the presence of aluminum chloride as Lewis acid catalyst and 1,2-dichloroethane as the solvent at ambient temperature. Reagents’ amounts and reaction conditions are mentioned and four samples with different amounts of functionality have been prepared. Final products were characterized by FT-IR and elemental analysis. The results obtained confirm that the above modification in preparation of chiral supported PS-DVB has been achieved well and in moderate yield. 相似文献
