Systematic convergence of nonlinear stochastic estimators on the Special Orthogonal Group SO(3)

This paper introduces two novel nonlinear stochastic attitude estimators developed on the Special Orthogonal Group with the tracking error of the normalized Euclidean distance meeting predefined transient and steady‐state characteristics. The tracking error is confined to initially start within a predetermined large set such that the transient performance is guaranteed to obey dynamically reducing boundaries and decrease smoothly and asymptotically to the origin in probability from almost any initial condition. The proposed estimators produce accurate attitude estimates with remarkable convergence properties using measurements obtained from low‐cost inertial measurement units. The estimators proposed in continuous form are complemented by their discrete versions for the implementation purposes. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed estimators against uncertain measurements and large initialization error, whether in continuous or discrete form.

Residual stress as measured quantity in quality assurance The x‐ray method is used in the Volkswagen Automotive Group at different world‐wide locations as a standard procedure to determine residual stress. As an important measured quantity in the quality assurance residual stresses are specified in drawings of different components (e.g. gears, coil springs). Measurements are carried out during quality assurance, production, damage analyse, technical development department and design control of components from suppliers. An optimum efficiency can be achieved, if it exists a unique correlation between residual stress values and loading capacity of components, and if the processes to introduce residual stress can be optimized using residual stress measurements during the production.     

The Israeli-Palestinian peace process and its vicissitudes: Insights from attitude theory.

The vicissitudes of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process since 1967 are analyzed using attitudes and related concepts where relevant. The 1967 war returned the two peoples' zero-sum conflict around national identity to its origin as a conflict within the land both peoples claim. Gradually, new attitudes evolved regarding the necessity and possibility of negotiations toward a two-state solution based on mutual recognition, which became the building stones of the 1993 Oslo agreement. Lacking a commitment to a final outcome, the Oslo-based peace process was hampered by reserve options, which increased avoidance at the expense of approach tendencies as the parties moved toward a final agreement. The resulting breakdown of the process in 2000 produced clashing narratives, reflecting different anchors for judgment and classical mirror images. Public support for violence increased, even as public opinion continued to favor a negotiated two-state solution. Reviving the peace process requires mutual reassurance about the availability of a partner for negotiating a principled peace based on a historic compromise that meets the basic needs and validates the identities of both peoples. 压电量测系统漏电影响分析

长25-29井卡钻事故的处理

长２５－２９井在完井阶段通井过程中发生粘附卡钻事故，在处理卡钻过程中又发生卡套铣筒、井漏、溢流等事故及复杂情况。通过对井下情况的认真分析，采取先堵漏后循环再解卡的处理方案，顺利地解除了该次卡钻事故，大大地减少了经济损失。     

潜油电动机滑行时间的自动测量

潜油电动机滑行时间是评定电动机装配质量的重要指标。鉴于手工测量电动机滑行时间存在效率低和误差较大的不足,设计了潜油电动机滑行时间自动测量系统。它通过分压电路和计算机自动测量系统测量潜油电动机定子上感应的电压变化状况,即可得到电动机滑行时间。用手工测量、波形分析和自动测量3种方法测量6种型号电动机的滑行时间,其中5种滑行时间长于3s,判定为合格;1种滑行时间短于3s,判定为不合格。3种方式测量的滑行时间具有较好的一致性,仅波形分析法得出的滑行时间比自动测量的滑行时间稍长,表明自动测量方法的精度和重复性可满足要求。
