An effective practical approach that allows not only a significant reduction in the scope of practical experiments in the course of studying suspension separation processes in hydrocyclones, but also makes it possible to assess the intensity of random components of the processes and define the interrelation between such components and hydrodynamics of flows in a hydrocyclone is presented. Within the frames of the developed probabilistic‐statistical model of suspension separation in hydrocyclones on the basis of statistical self‐similarity properties, a relationship was found between determined and random components of the processes. This allowed transitioning from three‐parameter probability density functions for suspension particles in hydrocyclones to two‐parameter functions; thus significantly improving the efficiency of practical application of the developed model. 相似文献

Eight datasets of 1-h black carbon (BC) concentrations measured in Warsaw agglomeration (Poland), at urban background and sub-urban sites, and in Racibórz, a small town in Upper Silesia district (regional background site) were analyzed to evaluate BC levels, daily profiles and statistical distributions of concentrations in Central-Eastern European region. The observed mean levels ranged from 1483 ng m−3 in suburban site during summer to 3358 ng m−3 in regional background site in winter. Observed diurnal patterns were bimodal in the locations dominated by traffic emissions, but unimodal, with elevated evening peak in individually heated residential area. Three theoretical frequency distributions were applied to fit analyzed datasets separately. The lognormal distribution was the most appropriate to represent the middle-range values, while the high concentrations were satisfactorily predicted by the type I two-parameter exponential distribution which was used to estimate the return periods of extreme concentrations for winter months. 相似文献

This paper investigates a novel compound control scheme combined with the advantages of trajectory linearization control (TLC) and alternative active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) for hypersonic reentry vehicle (HRV) attitude tracking system with bounded uncertainties. Firstly, in order to overcome actuator saturation problem, nonlinear tracking differentiator (TD) is applied in the attitude loop to achieve fewer control consumption. Then, linear extended state observers (LESO) are constructed to estimate the uncertainties acting on the LTV system in the attitude and angular rate loop. In addition, feedback linearization (FL) based controllers are designed using estimates of uncertainties generated by LESO in each loop, which enable the tracking error for closed-loop system in the presence of large uncertainties to converge to the residual set of the origin asymptotically. Finally, the compound controllers are derived by integrating with the nominal controller for open-loop nonlinear system and FL based controller. Three-dimensional models, or pharmacophores, describing Euclidean constraints on the location on small molecules of functional
groups (like hydrophobic groups, hydrogen acceptors and donors, etc.), are often used in drug design to describe the medicinal
activity of potential drugs (or ‘ligands’). This medicinal activity is produced by interaction of the functional groups on
the ligand with a binding site on a target protein. In identifying structure-activity relations of this kind there are three
principal issues: (1) It is often difficult to “align” the ligands in order to identify common structural properties that
may be responsible for activity; (2) Ligands in solution can adopt different shapes (or `conformations’) arising from torsional
rotations about bonds. The 3-D molecular substructure is typically sought on one or more low-energy conformers; and (3) Pharmacophore
models must, ideally, predict medicinal activity on some quantitative scale. It has been shown that the logical representation
adopted by Inductive Logic Programming (ILP) naturally resolves many of the difficulties associated with the alignment and
multi-conformation issues. However, the predictions of models constructed by ILP have hitherto only been nominal, predicting
medicinal activity to be present or absent. In this paper, we investigate the construction of two kinds of quantitative pharmacophoric
models with ILP: (a) Models that predict the probability that a ligand is “active”; and (b) Models that predict the actual
medicinal activity of a ligand. Quantitative predictions are obtained by the utilising the following statistical procedures
as background knowledge: logistic regression and naive Bayes, for probability prediction; linear and kernel regression, for
activity prediction. The multi-conformation issue and, more generally, the relational representation used by ILP results in
some special difficulties in the use of any statistical procedure. We present the principal issues and some solutions. Specifically,
using data on the inhibition of the protease Thermolysin, we demonstrate that it is possible for an ILP program to construct
good quantitative structure-activity models. We also comment on the relationship of this work to other recent developments
in statistical relational learning.

三站二维定位问题是最小定位问题,一般只利用几何关系就能获得定位估计,但由于未利用距离测量的统计信息,定位精度较差。该文先将点到点的距离测量转化为点到线的距离估计,再在此基础上推导出一种新的加权几休定位方法,其中加权的确定利用了距离测量的统计信息。仿真实验表明,在测距误差较小时新方法具有更高的定位精度。 相似文献

A block‐oriented approximate feedback linearization for control of a pneumatic cylinder positioning system is introduced and a rather detailed discussion is presented on the uncertain linearization residual characterization. It is shown that making use of the characterized gain–phase information of the linearized system leads to a more reasonable trade‐off between performance and stability in the QFT control design and thus results in high control performance. Sample pathwise numerical integration of noise-driven engineering dynamical systems cannot generally be performed beyond a limited level of accuracy, especially when the noise processes are modelled using (filtered) white noises. Recently, a locally transversal linearization (LTL) strategy has been proposed by the author (Proc Roy Soc London A 2001; 457 :539–566) for direct integration of deterministic and stochastic non-linear dynamical systems. The present effort is focussed on a host of extensions along with detailed theoretical error analyses of the linearization approach, especially as applied to problems in non-linear stochastic engineering dynamics. Thus, to begin with, estimates of local and global error orders in the basic LTL scheme are obtained separately for the displacement and velocity vectors when the system is driven either by a set of additive noises or by an arbitrary combination of (independently evolving) additive and multiplicative noises. Following this, a new family of higher-order LTL schemes is proposed in order to improve upon the basic LTL method and the associated error orders are established. A stepwise implementation of the lower- and higher-order versions of the LTL method, along with certain computational aspects, is also outlined. The proposed schemes are numerically illustrated, to a limited extent, for a single degree-of-freedom (SDOF) and a two degree-of-freedom (TDOF) non-linear engineering systems under additive and/or multiplicative white noise excitations. Nanosized partially yttria stabilized zirconia particles, prepared using a co-precipitation method, were reprocessed into agglomerate powders using two methods for plasma spraying. The first method was to make micrometer-sized agglomerates directly following the grinding of the calcined yttria–zirconia agglomerates. The second method was to reconstitute the nanosized particles into micrometer agglomerates using spray drying. The deposition efficiency, porosity, microhardness and average grain size of the deposits made from these two reprocessed powders were studied. Distinct results related to the process parameters were obtained for the two types of powders. The second type of powder was more suitable for plasma spraying than the first one. Using the second type of powder, some unique results distinguished from those of the conventional partially yttria stabilized zirconia powders were observed and an optimized coating with a porosity of 3.8%, Hv0.3 of 953 and mainly consisting of 1–3 μm columnar grains in the columnar direction and smaller than 100 nm in their cross-sections was achieved. 相似文献
