The recent studies showing that gaze features can be useful in the identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), have opened a new domain where Visual Attention (VA) modeling could be of great help. In this sense, this paper presents a report of the Grand Challenge “Saliency4ASD: Visual attention modeling for Autism Spectrum Disorder”, organized at IEEE ICME’19, aiming at supporting the research on VA modeling towards this healthcare societal challenge. In particular, this paper describes the workflow, obtained results, and datasets and tools that were used within this activity, in order to help on the development and evaluation of two types of VA models: (1) to predict saliency maps that fit gaze behavior of people with ASD, and (2) to identify individuals with ASD from typical development.  相似文献

Facebook is a popular social network that can be used for self-presentation. In the current study we examined gender differences in Facebook self-presentation by evaluating components of profile and cover photos. We used evolutionary psychology—a theory which holds many assumptions regarding gender differences—to draw hypotheses. In order to eliminate the pitfalls of self-reported data, we analyzed public data presented in Facebook pages of a random representative international sample of 500 Facebook users. As hypothesized, profile photos on Facebook differed according to gender. Males’ photos accentuated status (using objects or formal clothing) and risk taking (outdoor settings), while females’ photos accentuated familial relations (family photos) and emotional expression (eye contact, smile intensity and lack of sunglasses). Cover photos, however, did not show most of these gender differences, perhaps since they serve only as a supplement to the self-presentation that appears in the profile photos. These findings demonstrate that evolutionary theory rooted in the past can help us understand new social tools of the future.  相似文献

Education‐based knowledge gaps are well‐documented across countries, media platforms, and content. Without exception, knowledge is measured through words not images. Given the centrality of sight in the natural history of Homo sapiens, the extraordinary visual acuity of humans, and the proliferation of screen‐based visual media environments in contemporary life, an experiment was conducted to test the knowledge gap visually. Participants watched 8 audiovisual news stories. Simple recognition of story details and comprehension of that information were tested in verbal and visual modalities. Results offered the first confirmation of the knowledge gap in visual terms. Yet, gaps were significantly smaller employing visual than verbal measures, pointing to the need for continued efforts to develop visual measures for future memory studies.  相似文献

基于CASI高光谱影像资料,计算出NDVI和纹理数据并综合进行SVM(Support Vector Machine)分类,3种信息的组合形成4种分类方案,是为了探讨CASI数据在种植结构精细分类中的应用潜力,为定量研究和监测提供数据基础。数据在分类前利用同步ASD数据和CE\|318数据进行了辐射定标和大气校正。分类结果与地面实际调查数据对比验证结果表明:① 4种分类结果均与地面实际调查情况基本一致,并分别取得了96.78%、97.21%、88.00%、88.38% 的分类精度和0.9676、0.9691、0.8674、0.8716的Kappa系数;② CASI数据信息丰富,在植被的精细分类方面具有很大的应用潜力;③ 结合空间特征信息和NDVI数据可以有效地提高分类精度。  相似文献

在综合运用图像、图形处理、计算机网络、多媒体等技术的基础上,根据判读应用任务需求、判读人员作业习惯,将各种技术优势综合,提出了支持大型判读任务的、多机方式下的“遥感影像群判读系统”的解决方案及其计算机实现技术方案。首先分析了该技术的研究现状、技术背景和特点,然后提出了群判读的设计策略、基于客户端/服务器的总体框架结构、具体功能及其实现方法。引入“项目管理”的概念,将地理信息系统、网络技术集成到系统中,为使判读人员通过网络环境以协作方式判读,进一步提高工作效率提供了技术环境,也为遥感与地理信息系统的集成提供了可借鉴的新方法。  相似文献

The calculation of the magnetostatic potential and levitation force due to a point magnetic dipole placed in front of a superconducting sphere in the Meissner state is readdressed. Closed-form analytical expression for the scalar potential function that yields the image system for an arbitrarily oriented magnetic dipole located in the vicinity of a superconducting sphere is given. Analytic expression for the lifting or levitation force acting on the sphere is extracted from the solution for a general dipole. A special case of our expression where the initial magnetic dipole makes an angle with the z-axis is derived. Our expression for the force in this particular case shows that a recently obtained result (J. Supercond. Nov. Magn. 21:93–96, 2008) for an arbitrary dipole is incorrect. A brief discussion of another erroneous result (J. Supercond. Nov. Magn. 15:257–262, 2002) for a transverse/tangential dipole–sphere configuration, corrected elsewhere recently, is reproduced. Correct expressions for the interaction energy with some limiting cases are also provided. The result derived here demonstrates that the value of the levitation force for a dipole that makes an angle with z-axis lies between the values for a radial dipole–sphere and transverse dipole–sphere configurations providing upper and lower bounds. It is found that for a magnetic dipole making an angle with z-axis, there exits a second force component along the negative y-direction, which influences a couple acting on the superconducting sphere. It is also shown that the couple is proportional to the second force component and that both the couple and second force components vanish for a radial dipole–sphere and transverse dipole–sphere configurations, respectively. These results appear to be new and have not had received due attention in the context of superconductivity.  相似文献
