Analysis and countermeasures for the mal-operation of 220 kV transformer protection

With the statistic analysis results on the performance of transformer protection operations in Anhui electric power network,the transformer protection types that operate improperly often and their causes are summarized.Combined with the practice,some preventive countermeasures against the mal operation are introduced.It is suggested that the microcomputer based transformer protection should be selected first to improve the incorrectness rate of transformer protection.
