In the computer network system by network virus harm, a kind ofLAN ARP virus is often appear, a lot of local area network（ LAN ）.ARP virus by forged IP address and MAC address the ARP deception, the ability to produce lots of ARP traffic in the network to network congestion. Therefore, as the network administrator, must master certain knowledge and some protection measures are taken to prevent ARP virus invasion. This paper introduces the ARP protocol mechanism, the ARP virus attack principle and method of prevention and cure of the virus.
