Abstract: | This study developed a test technique for mode II fracture testing of a fiber-reinforced ceramic composite. This method employed a small, straight-notched, precracked, end-notched flexure specimen subjected to three-point bending. This method was demonstrated by measuring the mode II critical strain energy release rate, G II c of a fiber-reinforced glass-ceramic composite at room temperature. |
