Gate is not only a category of architecture,but also an important conception in people’s mind. Because of the interaction of conception and prototype of gate,the metaphysical conception’s continuous rising and expanding promotes the progress in art the gate itself constructions.This article makes a brief discussion on the meaning of gate from the perspective of culture and psychology.
