Research on simulation modelling and virtual manufacturing analysis for integrated product and process design

This paper presents the research on the implementation of developing graphical simulationmodels. The developing work emphasizes the integrated approach in the product and pro-cess design, where the same product data source has been shared and used for analysesin a virtual environment of various manufacturing activities including product development,production planning, assembly analysis, workplace design, operation simulation and plantlayout. It describes the methods adopted and a discussion is given on the problems ofusing an e-manufacture software for the development.
