Isothermal curves and kinetics in a metal hydride

The isotherms for the alloy DB 5800 between — 196 °C (77 K) and 40 °C (313 K) are measured. The pressure range is 0 bar up to 2 bar. A new reactor was developed and constructed for these conditions. An equation to describe the isotherms is derivated. Isotherm measurements are possible at temperatures below 130 °C (143 K). Kinetic measurements are carried out, an equation for the storing rate is derivated, and the kinetic parameters are determined.
