An empirical relation between fatal accident involvement per accident involvement and speed

Abstract:Data on the frequency of fatal and of injury accident involvement per accident involvement, by speed, for several states are compared. It is found that the frequency of fatal accident involvement per accident involvement increases with speed in the same manner, for speeds above 40 mph, in all states considered.
