| Abstract: | In this paper,we studied a new route of synthesis of 3-acetyltropolone by methylamination of 3-acetyltropolone, reductipn and hydrolysis. The totalyield was 59 .2%. The structure of the new synthesized compound 3 was confirmed by elemental analysis,IR and 1HNMR spectroscopy. |
