| Abstract: | Toluene was brominated with catalyst into pentabromotoluene (PMT),the bromide product wasn't separated and after initator and some more solvent were added,the further bromination began,after several hours pentabromobenzyl bromide (PBB) could be gotten.The results and the reaction conditions of the synthesis were investigated and discussed. |
