| Abstract: | Taking Beijing as an esample,the paper presents the characteristics and changing mechanisms of land use in rural immigrant settlements in big cities.With the site survey data and interpretation of SPOT image,authors composed a map of immigrant settlement distribution in Beijing City.Authors concluded that,economic activities and mental characters of immigrants are the key factors determining land use charactersitics.The study on rural immigrant settlements could be useful for understanding urban social polarization and social segregation,ruban land reallocation,urban land fix use and urban economic restructuring. |
