| Abstract: | A dense silicon nitride material has been processed by nitridation-sintering theSi/Si_3N_4 powder mixture with yttria additives under the atmosphere of N_2,H_2 andAr,Its main mechanical properties (bending strength,hardness,etc) are comparedwith those of the pressureless sintered material.The phase compositions and the va-riation of microstructure of the studied material with various processing temperaturesare also discussed. |
